World Market — Local services in Eugene

I love World Market, my house is beautiful thanks to the amazing things I’ve found here. But the employees are not so much to rave about. I ordered online for pickup in store, and I came in to browse the cards while waiting for my order to be ready to pick up. But as we got closer to the store closing time, I got in line although I hadn’t received my “ready to pick up” text yet. I saw 4 staff members there, only one line was open. When it was finally my turn to go to register, I said, “I know I’ve not received my text yet, and it’s obviously not ready and you’re about to close, but it’s just a couple items and I could grab them right now - that way I don’t need to come back tomorrow. The staff person said, “Well, you can cancel your order and we’ll refund you (refund takes 6-10 days) and you can purchase the products again. (No thanks), or you can just come back tomorrow.” And I said, “I really don’t want to come back tomorrow. Can’t I just run over there grab the curtain rod and the curtains and it be my order?” His short answer was, “No.” So I left and came back a couple days later. At this point I’d received my text that my order was ready. I went in, got in a long line, came up and asked for my order. He brought over the curtain rod - and only the curtain rod. And I said, “where are the curtains?” He said, “we are sold out of the curtains. We didn’t charge you. Don’t worry.” And I said, “I was just here a couple days ago, and there was a basketful of the curtains I ordered. What is going on here?” He said, “you’re welcome to go over and look to see if there are any there.” I go over and see the basket of curtains I ordered is..FULL OF CURTAINS. So I grab 2 and head up to the counter. I had to pay for them separately since he said he didn’t charge me. I go home, look at my receipt and my bank account. Yep, they charged me for the curtains today - and from my original order. So, now I’ve paid for double the curtains. Good grief. I’m going to be calling my bank on Monday and World Market to see what they’ll do to get my refund. What a nightmare for such a simple, small order. Do better, World Market in Eugene. This was such a senseless mess. It could have been so much easier if you would have just let me grab the items from the shelf the first time I was there. None of...

This is one of my favorite stores in town. They have so many great international food stuffs. Lots of Asian/European/etc candies and sweets. A great selection of hot sauces and sauces in general. Lots of treats and snacks. Also they have a very good range of wines and beers as well as several options for sake. The furniture is very stylish and seems to be made at a high standard of quality. There are tons of bathroom goodies like fancy soaps and unique shampoos and conditioners. Tons of amazingly delightful candles and oil defusers. Carpets, rugs, towels, blankets, throws, pillows, stationary, are all high quality and often look very nice too. There's a bunch of fun trinkets and toys for kids and adults alike. Plus there's a whole boatload of interesting kitchen stuff like beautiful silverware, plate sets, and containers including Tupperware, jars, and much more rarely seen styles of jars. Why have I not been in here more? Huge selection of a variety of indoor, outdoor furniture and decor plus alot of fun stuff. Great prices and a fun place to shop. I enjoyed looking at everything single thing in there! Great prices and I'm enjoying the outdoors solar candle I got on sale! So cool. It can flicker or change colors and has been bright as laten at night as I have seen it. I also found great notebooks of different sizes and a perfect "tasks" list pad. It's helping already. so many other fun beautiful things I wanted to get!; nothing was overpriced but I wanted so much lol I really enjoyed seeing Halloween stuff out!.My favorite holiday and I always find great all season items yet Halloween decor seems to be getting taken overby other holidays the last handful of years but world market had a nice little section and some scattered about.
