UPDATE 3/2025 We had a nice conversation with Texas Road House corporate customers relations last week. After listening to our concerns, we can say for sure that they do care about us 'the customers' as people, and that we are not just numbers. My wife and I decided to again visit today and give them another chance. Rrdults, My steak was perfectly seasoned and so was my wife's. The ribs, I was not too impressed but my wife really liked them. A big plus. Lorena took great care of us and made sure my steak dinner was perfectly seasoned as per my request. Her statement was ' I can make that happen ' and she delivered 💯. The floor manager stopped by to see how everything was, which is a nice gesture. Thank you Tealy at the corporate office for understanding and listening. Atmosphere 5🌟 - Food 5🌟 - Service 10
A 5 cent tip kind of place. Literally.
Not because of the servers, River and Marion, they were great and apologetic for the worst food ever, but a five cent tip place because of the managers insincere apology. She should take lessons from her employees.
My country fried steak and steak fries were not edible. Extremely over salted. I attempted to get past it but after three bites it was not possible. My wife's herb encrusted chicken was more like Salt encrusted chicken. When "the manager" came to 'apologize', her apology was like she was reading from a text book. Sorry but you need to go back to management training. We do appreciate the discount you gave us (not charging for my meal I had returned) it was so kind and sincere of you. You expected us to pay for food that was not edible? Did you not hear my wife say that her meal was over salted too? She shouldn't have had to pay for that terrible meal too. Pay attention next time and Listen to what your customers are telling you, and don't be so quickly to dismissed them like if they are second class citizens.
In my line of work I deal with dozens of visitors a week and many ask me about good steak places to eat, I tell you this 'I will NOT recommend your place anymore, ever.'
And, please hold back your text book response to the google business reviews.. "We are sorry, it is never our intention to let our guests down. We sincerely appreciate you taking the time to let us know how we can improve." Bull! Save your fake response to your CEO I'm sure they would love to hear your response, they might even give you a pay raise. Picture of the bill will be posted with the title '5cents Tip for the manager'. My info is on the bill. If you truly want to make things right. If you are reading this and deciding whether to eat at this place, DON'T. My recommendations are Kennedy's SteakHouse, George and Violet's, oh hell at this point Centenial SteakHouse in Springfield would be better.
I WILL UPDATE THIS REVIEW DEPENDING ON RESPONSE FROM...
Read moreOk. So this is the second time I have gone here. I was going to do my review after the first but I didn't think it would be fair so I waited. Both times I got the Texas size combo. The first time I got the sirloin and grilled shrimp with a side of green beans and broccoli. The steak was so tender and came with a garlic butter that just made the whole steaks experience mouth watering. The shrimp was seasoned to perfection the broccoli had a lemon seasoning that made each bite enjoyable and the green beans had bacon and a delicious smoked flavor. We also got a blooming onion for a side and let me tell you not only was the onion massive but it did not disappoint. Now let's move on to last nights meal. So I like to switch it up and try new things so this time I got the BBQ chicken and ribs with a side of broccoli of course and a house salad with Italian dressing. I have to say this meal was mouth watering good from start to finish. The ribs and chicken were cooked to.perfection and the BBQ sauce left nothing to be desired. It was a flavor train from beginning to end. Of course the broccoli was good and let me tell you the house salad had it all even chopped up boiled eggs. If you have to have a salad with your meal this one takes the cake. Now that we got through the important part let me tell you about my restaurant experience itself. Yesterday was a Thursday and when we went in to pick up.our meal there was a side room where there was at least 15 people waiting for a table and the place was packed. No one waiting looked upset that they had to wait either. That should tell you something about the quality of this place. The staff were super friendly and wanted to know how they were doing. The music is loud but upbeat and you could see everyone was happy and enjoying there experience. I gladly give this place five stars and wait with anticipation till I go back next week for another exciting chance to try...
Read moreI drove out from the Portland area just to eat here, as I’ve always been curious. I like the theming, especially the cute jackalope in the waiting area. They were well staffed despite there being a dinner rush; I only waited maybe 5 minutes for a bar seat. The bread and butter was pretty good, about what I was expecting. The ribs and sweet potato side were even better! The staff was super fast, friendly and attentive. Bartender Sarah was on her A game!
As much as I would love to give this location a five star review, I cannot justify that when I was inside the restaurant for over an hour. I placed my order (of 2 sides) immediately upon being seated at the bar, but my food took over 30 minutes to arrive. I finished eating in less than 5 minutes, but it still took a while for them to cash me out.
Someone must’ve realized it was becoming a hostage situation, because at one point a manager came over to speak to me unprompted asking what I needed (a to-go box and my check). Like I said, the bartender was on her A game, so I really couldn’t tell you what happened with the long delay. I arrived at 4:50 and left at 6. Next time, I’ll just ask them to run my credit card immediately upon placing my order and I suggest others do the same if you’re on a time crunch. I wasn’t necessarily in a hurry, but it’s a 2 hour drive home for me.
That being said, the slow experience isn’t going to deter me from dining with them in the future whenever I find myself in Eugene. My total was $16.49 before tip and I had enough leftover for the next day. You...
