We used to love Burrito Boy, but this location at Valley River Dr. keeps disappointing us. When we order, it's for a family of 5, and 3 of them are teenagers who can pack it in. I understand that drive-throughs can get stuff wrong on occasion, but literally the last 3 times we've bought food from this restaurant, they get it wrong. They put sour cream on a burrito that we asked for NO sour cream, so of course my son wouldn't eat it. They missed a couple of items that we ordered, etc. I get it. This happens. They are having to go so fast to get the orders out to the drivethrough that they miss stuff. The problem is that they take offense if you let them know they messed up, We just want to get the food they missed or messed up so that my kids can eat dinner.
I'm always kind if I ever make the effort to get the food that was messed up or missing. I've only on 3 occasions called them back. The first time, they said just let us know the next time you come through, and we will give you a credit. The next time, they said they had to see the receipt and were quite rude about fixing their mess up. Well, this last time was BAD. My kid literally did not get any of his food. We were also missing 2 bags of chips, and they messed up my taco. I called to let them know that I'd like to just drive back to get the food that was missing, and they clarified what was missing again.
When I got there, I went inside to pick up the food, and the guy was extremely rude. He ignored me for a long time before coming over to give me the food. He then gave me the 2 items I posted pictures of, no toppings, and no chips. There should have been 2 fish tacos with the toppings on the side, just a regular crispy taco with regular toppings and 2 bags of chips. The guy tells me, "I remember I made them for you." I tell him, "Well, they didn't make it into my order." He says, 'I know I put them in there!" Multiole times I said I came back because we didn't get that food and just repeated "No, I put them in there."
This guy literally is telling me that I'm lying. I could not believe it! Like, I want to drive all the way back to get some free chips! Really?!!! I could not believe this guy was telling me I'm lying. My kid is at home waiting for his dinner, I skipped eating my food to run back to get my kid's food, and this guy tells me I'm lying! Like, I enjoy leaving my dinner with my family to go get some free chips! I asked again if he could please just give me the chips and the toppings for the fish tacos. I didn't even say anything about that nasty beef taco (it looked disgusting and clearly was missing all it's toppings) And this guy insists that he put the chips in my order. What the actual ....? This guy has doubled down on this idea that he remembers putting the chips in my order and doesn't want to give me the food I just drove back for! How utterly ridiculous!
I just want to get the food for my kids and go home. We rarely eat food out these days, and when we do, it's for the convenience because we are exhausted and don't feel like cooking. This was not convenient.
Anyways, the dude gives me one bag of chips, not 2,, and the toppings for the fish taco, after getting tired of me continuing to tell him that, in fact, we did not get the food he somehow remembers putting in my order, 1 sorry fish taco and that sorry beef "taco". I wasn’t going to argue anymore. I just couldn't believe he would treat a customer that way. I was shocked.
We will make sure to not go to this Burrito Boy on Valley River Dr. again. Whoever owns this franchise needs to train their workers about customer service. I was very upset to be treated that way. I do not appreciate being told...
Read moreMy husband and I were looking for a Taco bell that was close but we saw this place and decided to give it a try. The restaurant itself was only okay. When we arrived there wasn't anyone there eating inside, but several tables and the floor were dirty. Also they really need someone to clean the windows. They looked really rough. I had to use the restroom and at this specific location the restaurant was located outside which is definitely a turn off for a restaurant, but it wadnt just absolutely disgusting, so I managed. The menu has several vegetarian options which is awesome! But most Mexican food places offer that so, it wasn't too suprising. I was taken back a bit with the cost. Mostly because this place looks and feels like fast food. It is more expensive than most other fast food Mexican places. Honestly, I prefer Taco Bell to this place. I even prefer Taco Mayo to this place. But it was close. Would I eat here again? Maybe. If I didn't have to go to the bathroom, or if everybody else wanted it. Would I ever think to myself, "Man, Burrito Boy sounds great"! No, no I would not. They did have a nice coke soda machine with a lot of options. Those are always nice. And the food we ordered was edible and somewhat good. But they didnt have a lot of community Salsa's. Only 3 that I could tell, and that always makes for the awkward asking someone for it or someone asking for it situation. I really think if this place cleaned itself up, either served food worthy of the price or lowered their current prices, and had an indoor bathroom it could be a 5 star place. However, as is, it is...
Read moreWhen asked if I wanted sauce my response was lots of green.
The guy got super weird, angry and defensive.
I was having a great today but he started slamming the window and yelling at me.
I watched him fill my Diet Coke with half regular coke, he unpacked and unwrapped my burritos a couple times, then gave me the soda. Not sure if he did stuff to the burritos.
The soda wasn’t diet so I asked for diet and he started screaming at me telling me I was a liar after I watched him put almost half regular coke (by the way he could kill a diabetic).
When I asked for the correct beverage he screamed at me more then slammed the window at me again.
I sat there still asking for a Diet Coke through the window, he came back and said he’d call the cops on me.
I asked for a refund he said no refunds.
He then properly filled my coke and threw the straw at my face through the window.
I was very happy today and super nice, this guy was just unhinged. I guess he didn’t take his antipsychotic meds or something.
Young guy prolly early twenties terrible service.
Also the burrito order was completely wrong but since I was already trespassed I didn’t bring the burritos back, just going to do a credit card chargeback.
I’ll be going elsewhere from now on. Never the valley river store again.
Also I watched the staff drop food on the floor, use cleaning tools, touch the floor, and not wash their hands, gross!
The river road store is really good, everyone is super nice and they care about the food they put out, how did this store fail so badly to deliver on the...
