The Barn Shoppes at the Old Sale Barn — Local services in Eureka Springs

The employees at the counter were pleasant and helpful. The remainder of this review is addressing a number of items for sale in the very back room - specifically, about half a dozen framed illustrations that are racist caricatures of black men, women, and children from around the Jim Crow Era. I hesitate to include photos of these, but I believe that not explicitly calling out these derogagory images would allow them to remain comfortably anonymous. I encourage the business to, at the very least, provide a disclaimer alongside the images for context. Something similar to what Disney does with older movies would be a good start: "This program includes negative depictions and/or mistreatment of people or cultures. These stereotypes were wrong then and are wrong now. Rather than remove this content, we want to acknowledge its harmful impact, learn from it and spark conversation to create a more inclusive...

DO NOT GO IN LOOKING FOR REAL ANTIQUES ! Absolutely would not recommend unless you are a real Antiques Dealer or Collector and know exactly what you are looking at. More than half the items in the shop are brand new Chinese knockoffs but the Owners allow them to be marked Antique. In the back there is a cabinet with Metal Dishes...Marked Antique. They are 100% BRAND NEW on today's market and they just removed the stickers on the bottom and are still sticky!! The Woman (seemed like owner) was really rude. The only good thing about the Shoppe was it doesn't stink. But the Ladys Customer...

My visit here was 9 months ago, but google removed my review. Awful, absurd, and severely outdated racist caricatures. Depicted black kids eating watermelon on a plantation, and a little boy being chased by a duck that reads, "Done got caught". Hidden in the back so you can barely find it. Not to mention the n@zi war medals that they openly sell in their military section. Absolutely disgusting and the owners should be ashamed of themselves. Would NOT recommend giving your money...
