Talk about darn great bone-suckin’ sauce and meats!...this place is fantastic! Was in Fayetteville working on a show at the Walton Arts Center, and some members of the cast raved about this place (it’s across the street!). Being a Navy boy that grew up all over and tasted some of the worlds best BBQ, I had to check out Sauced. I was greeted upon entering by a warm smile and friendly hello. The woman behind the counter asked if I had ever been, and when I explained that I hadn’t, she quickly and concisely described the menu choices. I chose The 3-meat option of pulled pork, sausage, and brisket. She also explained their delicious sauces and said she’d give me each to try them all, and was careful to let me know that their baked beans are savory and not sweet. Good heavenly gods of BBQ!....each bite is moist, rich, and with a well-balanced and flavorful smoke that creates the kind of expertly slow-roasted meat that just melts in your mouth. The baked beans were delicious, and the slaw fresh and creamy with just the right amount of zesty kick. When it comes to their sauces- they are bursting with flavor, each unique and tasty, and from the sweet to the spicy range; I really loved them all. The decor and ambience of the restaurant is as warm and friendly as the people that work there. It’s clear they love great BBQ- and so do I. So give these good folks and their fantastic meats and sauces a...
Read moreSo I have a lot to say about this place. You may see my other review from a couple of years ago, and I still stand by it. I went back to Sauced for the first time in years, expecting the same amount of excellence I was provided the first time. We went to the drive thru, the girl at the window, Megan, was VERY patient with us while we asked questions. Pricing is great, especially compared to the bbq we have in Little Rock. The service time was speedy. The pulled pork sandwiches are delicious. The ribs are literally fall off the bone. Baked beans are yummy. This is where the negatives come in. The okra is.. not as good as last time, the batter didn’t taste like it was seasoned. My mom and I both ordered the Mac and cheese, and we did not receive either of them. It was the one thing we were the most excited for, and we weren’t even able to get it. The ribs were very black and charred. And the pulled pork is HELLA greasy, but they provided us with plenty of napkins and moist wipes. I MAY come back, but I’m definitely going to try other bbq spots next time around. Also, the times on Google are incorrect, it’s actually 11-3 on Wednesdays! EDIT: it’s less than 24 hours later, and I ended up having to take off 2 stars; my mom and I both have food poisoning from the...
Read moreHow do they stay so small?! Best brisket! Very tender, perfect flavor! These guys know their meat. And we know BBQ! We (our family) have tried it all over the region, and this just moved into our top 5. Here’s why…
We ordered the 5 meat meal (brisket, turkey, pulled pork, sausage, bologna), ribs, and burnt ends, mac n cheese, beans, and slaw. None of it disappointed. In fact, we had to get another order of the mac n cheese. Pulled pork was tender and juicy and perfectly flavored. The sausage tasted like Thanksgiving. Turkey was very tender. Bologna was good. The spare ribs have a savory dry rub. They were very good. I’d say 4 out of 5 stars, only because they were just a little dry. But I’d get them again. Burnt ends were superb! But that brisket… oh man. I’ll be dreaming about that for at least the next week… I’d go back just for the brisket. Again and again…
While nothing needed sauced, the sauces were great. I loved the black pepper bold sauce.
Great atmosphere. Quick and friendly service. Either they are just very efficient at getting customers in and out or they are very overlooked, but this will be a regular thing whenever we are able to make it to...
