Five Stars, but with a few caveats. This was almost 4 stars but I think it's a young business so benefit of the doubt.
The bad part is, the checkout/table service situation is very disjointed. It's sort of an odd combo of "pay up front and get your food when it's called" and ... Well, not quite that.
The register is really poorly placed and is right as you walk in. As long as it stays slow I think that's fine. Problem being, we were there on 4th weekend and they were slammed.
Large groups were in front of the door, making checkout complicated and for that matter, getting in and out.
The coffee was being brewed as quick as they could, but not before people were sitting down. Staff was running around trying to remember who needed coffee and who didn't. Just, again, a little scattered and not geared to be busy?
I think they can totally fix this easily and hope they do.
The good: everything we ate was lights out. Kolachies were straight out of TX. The cheddar jalapeno biscuit sandwich was the highlight; homemade biscuit and just a bit spicy but mostly just flakey deliciousness.
The avocado toast had a nice twist; a sweet drizzle that gave it an extra bump of flavor.
I really hope they retool some stuff and set the place up for a big...
Read moreI’d skip this place. I think all the food is pre made (I’m not sure but I think it’s just all frozen and brought in). I don’t think they cook anything there. The first several items I wanted they didn’t have. The next thing they couldn’t leave out the peppers and onions because I was told it was pre made. I finally ordered a sausage thing wrapped in dough. It wasn’t good. Seemed like something from the microwave freezer section at the grocery store. So then I got what looked like a yummy blueberry muffin and it was so dry… they actually gave me my money back for it. If these folks don’t learn how to cook real food and offer something different I don’t think they’ll be here very long. Cute little place with a cutesy vibe but the food leave a lot to be desired. A bit expensive as well for what...
Read moreBro. This place gets it. The vibe? Immaculate. The decor? Straight Pinterest-core meets cryptid chic. My friends and I pulled up for a long-overdue catch-up and ended up staying way too long because the coffee was hitting, the food was 🔥, and they had The Goonies playing on loop like it was 1985 and we still had VHS tapes.
It’s giving nostalgia, comfort, and just a hint of chaos — like a cozy fever dream with espresso. 10/10 would come back just to pretend I live here and write my memoir about how coffee healed my soul.
So yeah. If you’re in Eureka Springs and not grabbing brunch at The Squatch… what are you even doing...
