I’ve been coming here for about 6 months or so. I don’t write a lot of reviews but felt the need to write this one. I usually go to Kaitlyn D, and if I’m giving her personally a review it’d be 5 stars; hands down one of the best barbers I’ve had. However, the review is for the establishment not honoring appointments. It’s not the first time I’ve had to wait despite having a scheduled appointment in order for them to “squeeze in” someone else before me. I usually try my best to be on time out of respect for everyone’s time because I know first hand what delayed appointments do to one’s workflow. However that should be a two way street. I was told that “neck shave” appointments are being cancelled and they’re having to squeeze those in between other services appointments which is creating a lot of delay. That’s poor form to say the least. I think V’s Barbershop need to do better in terms of honoring appointments and stop asking their barbers to squeeze in neck shaves or other quick services in between actual appointments because otherwise that will eventually lead to barbers burning out and customers, such as...
Read moreI had the absolute worst haircut of my life today with V’s barbershop. I asked for a fade on the sides and just a small amount trimmed off the top. When I got home I noticed that you could see the trimmer lines of the smaller guard going into the higher guard area on the back of my neck. My barber also took it upon himself to add product to my hair without asking. He also started lining up my beard for me which I thought was nice until he went to my chin and took off almost ALL of it ruining my beard for the time being. He went too far into my hairline when lining up the edges and didn’t even clean up the top area my the ear. Didn’t blow out the extra hair clippings from my head. Had my facing away from the mirror for the entire haircut. There was just a lot of problems that occurred and for me it was just too many. This was hands down the worst haircut I’ve ever received and I highly doubt I will be returning.
Update: the owner did reach out and apologize for the bad experience. I appreciate the initiative the owner took in trying to help...
Read moreThe barbershop itself is very well maintained and very clean. Every employee is following guidelines for safety by wearing masks, checking your temperature and making sure you sanitize your hands after check in. I’ve had my haircut here twice, three weeks apart. The first barber on my first visit completely messed up a 0 fade. It was more of a jarhead high and tight which is absolutely not a 0 fade. Ehh ok so I’ll wait a few weeks and let it grow out and try another barber. The second barber did a lot better on a fade but when I got home I could see lines on both sides of my head where the fade was not blended in and my wife had to go back over it and blend it. I’m going to give it another shot in a couple of weeks with yet another barber because I like the shop and the people that much and see how it goes. Just in my opinion as a guy and getting my haircut at different shops all my adult life, a 0 fade is elementary basics to barbering and at the price point this shop charges not mastering this basic cut is kind of disheartening to...
