I used to wear the Rotary badge with pride until recently when I learned that the organization DOES NOT care about its members' integrity. As long as the dues and donations keep coming in, they can't be bothered about the source or the reputation of the donors. At first, I thought it was just a District issue so I moved it up to RI but the response to the matter of a known thief trying to get back into Rotary, and certain individuals who are heavily indebted to one club trying to form another, was met with nonchalance. Read moreI have long heard about the Rotary Club and it's mission. A friend invited to their Evanston Headquarters for their Nat'l Conclave held the July 18-20 wknd. I took a tour and l was so plesantly surprised at just how worldwide and well thought out their scope is; Aids prevention programs, digging water well in dry areas in the world, helping out in the worldwide 'Save the Bee's program'.
