Dillard's — Local services in Evansville

One of my favorite places to shop, especially since they allow you to use Afterpay! There is a lady that works in the women’s clothing department upstairs that is the absolute BEST! I cannot remember her name, but I do know she only works on Wednesday’s. I’ll make a point to come shop on Wednesday’s just because she is working! However, there are some other employees that aren’t as nice. For example, I spent almost 45 mins the other night in the shoe department looking for work shoes. There was a circle of employees around the cash register having their own conversations. Not one time did they acknowledge me. I found a few pairs of shoes on clearance I liked, and of course when I went to buy them, I was acknowledged. I had asked if I could take them upstairs to pay with clothes I had on hold from the other lady upstairs that had spent a lot of time helping me (she really deserved a sale!). The gentleman wanted to get smart with me about how they work on commission in shoes so he needs to ring me up. I told him it was funny how they work on commission but don’t bother even attempting to help you while you’re shopping! He did not like my answer and turned away. So I took the shoes upstairs for the lady to ring me up along with everything thing else she had helped me with!

If I could give zero stars I would! My son and his gf were at Dillards this evening. His gf was looking at the makeup section. The sales lady came up to them and explained how she was too young to be looking at makeup and said she only needed lip gloss. They continued to look at makeup and the sales lady was giving dirty looks. The sales lady came back to them again and brought up again how she doesn’t need makeup only lip gloss and tried to get them to go over to the lipgloss. My son was asking questions on the makeup and the sales lady got extremely irritable. She got in my son’s face and asked why he needed to know, if he planned on selling makeup. When he said no she said well men that wear makeup are confused. All of it not professional or appropriate. You don’t force your views onto others! If a teenager is interested in buying and wearing makeup that’s their business or the parents. Acting this way is how you lose customers and not make a sale. Don’t worry we...

Gentlemen at the " Men's DEPARTMENT " IS VERY KNOWLEDGEABLE, VERY CUSTOMER ORIENTED, HELPFUL AND FRIENDLY" he didn't judge us by our race or looks !! He should be a role model to the lady's jewelry department! and 2nd floor associates as well. I was very disappointed by the poor service for woman's section, I was excited to spend over $2000 just on some clothing but the judgemental attitude and snappy answers 😒 stopped me from buying anything. I went with my hubby to the men's department... and received a complimentary treatment by this young gentleman for big and tall section.
