Great American Cookies — Local services in Evansville

I have purchased cookies and a few smaller cakes from here in the past. My son wanted a pirate cookie cake this year so we went back. I ordered the 12x24 large cookie and was a little disappointed. For the price I was just expecting more. First off, ordering online gives you a different price. I decided to wait and order in person and it ended up being $60. They charge $50 for the cookie and $10 for them to ice it... That was very pricey to me and I wish I was told that in the beginning, I would've went elsewhere. Then I was suggested to only do the image on half the cake because the cookie itself was heavy and the icing would add about 5 lbs. So we did.. When I picked it up I was surprised, the cake was not heavy at all .. the cookie was so thin I could see the board under it. I couldn't even place a small little candle on it because there was nothing to the cookie. The candle would immediately fall over. We tried to make the best of it with what we had but when trying to cut and serve the cake we had to slide it because it was basically just icing. There was nothing to the cookie. I ordered a cookie cake for my Husbands birthday party a week and a half before I needed it this past Saturday. When I ordered they told me I could pick it up by 12 on my scheduled pick up day, I arrived at 1:00 pm to pick it up and it was not ready, not only was my cake not ready there were other customers there waiting on their cakes that were not ready either!! A guy at the counter told me they needed about 20-25 minutes before it would be ready meanwhile the one decorator I could see decorating had just started on a cake and there’s no way my cake with the size and design I had asked for would be done in that time frame. Had I sat and waited I would have been late for the party I was throwing that day!! I had to abandon my cake order and run to Meijer where luckily they had enough pre-made items on hand for my husbands party! I will never make the mistake of ordering from great American cookie again which is a shame because the cakes and cookies are so good, but improper time management and lack of decorating staff for how many orders they had nearly had me without a cake for a large party which is...

Today as the Great American Cookie in Evansville Indiana Eastland Mall me and my little child witness such rude and mean Behavior unprofessional behavior from an employer just because a customer asks about a pricing of a cup of ice water know it wasn't any of my business but to witness such an attitude because she asked why is it a dollar for a cup of ice water and the lady or whoever turned around and said because it is really hurt my feelings so just imagine how the parent fell because she asked how much was a cup of ice water1$ and the employee kept on and on and on and on the I wwould-be upset. And she also took the cookies back from the little girl this is unacceptable I'm from out of town and I will never visit this place again it's never wrong for somebody to question a price it doesn't matter what the question is of price question...
