We had the pleasure of having not one but two Waitresses. We had a date night at Longhorn and Olivia was our first waitress and she was exquisite. We asked for some extra time to relax and enjoy our cocktails before ordering our food. We let Olivia know this, and she was attentive yet, provided us with time to enjoy our cocktails before we ordered our food. Olivia had to go on break so, we cashed out our ticket so we were able to tip her appropriately. We were reassigned to Chelsea and she was as excellent as Olivia. Again, Chelsea allowed us time to chat and enjoy our cocktails before ordering our food. Our salads arrived immediately after ordering and the Ranch and Bleu Cheese dressings were outstanding, as a matter of fact, the best homemade salad dressings we have had in Evansville. Unfortunately, my salad had a black, curly hair in it and ruined my appetite. The waitress was so embarrassed and told us the manager on duty would come around to our table and she did only a few moments later. Unfortunately, she did not introduce herself so, I am unable to provide a “shout out “ to her. We did not expect a refund or any compensation for our meals however, the Manager subtracted the price of my steak off our bill….After finishing our salads, our steaks arrived. Although our steaks were overcooked, they were good.Longhorn is my wife’s favorite Steak House in Evansville and although, there are several steak houses, we always choose Longhorn. As a Healthcare Provider, I understand the need for hairnets or a hair covering to reduce the transmission of hair or foreign material in one’s food, I have no idea what Longhorn’s policy is regarding this protocol. Read moreTook my husband here for his birthday. Like every birthday, holiday or just whenever because we love this place. Had a wonderful meal. Service was great! However, my husband got a phone call just as we were about to leave and we ended up leaving without our leftover steaks we wanted to take home! These were great steaks and we were looking forward to enjoying them later in the week. When we were on our way home, we realized what we had done and immediately turned around in the hopes that the table had not been cleared yet. We were told unfortunately that it had been and that they had seen the take out box sitting there but had thrown it out. The young gentleman that I talked to tho said they could make us two more! I was incredulous and told them they didn't have to do that but he said it was ok and to just make sure that we come back again. So we accepted and bought a couple more drinks while we waited. We got out some cash to give to them in appreciation for what they had done. However, when the steaks were done, they were brought to us by I assume a manager who basically let us know in no uncertain terms how displeased she was with not only her server but I guess us for accepting the offer. Took us from feeling really good to wanting to just leave them with her and feeling bad for the server that helped us. The steaks and dinner were good but the manager ended up leaving a bad taste in our mouth. We would not have accepted what was not offered. Read moreToday, I have spent my last dollar at Longhorn Steakhouse. Over the last several years of giving this place a chance, today was my last straw. We are waiting over 1 1/2 hours to get seated after calling ahead. If that wasn't bad enough, when we were seated, there were 8 to 10 booths open when we we're sat at a table! Seriously? We had a party of 5, I asked the waiter why a booth and chair wouldn't work. After finally getting seated, we ordered our food. The waiter never informed us of any "up charges" for Mac and cheese, or chicken size upgrades, either. Very disappointing, be sure to your waiter what size chicken you want, because they won't ask!. After the food arrives, the steaks we're cooked wrong, one is supposed to be medium, and the filet was to be well. They got them backward. After waiting for 2 hours to finally eat, we are not waiting for another 30 minutes for them to get the steak cooked again. After all this mess, we we're over changed for 2 of our orders. Wow, I am sorry, but this longhorn has lost my business forever. I will never bring my family back to this restaurant again.
