Kabrea Wright salvaged my hair from my sad, expensive, but humorous attempt to bleach and color my own hair from black to my natural gray. I totally ruined my hair. She gave me the needed cut, treatment and bridging corrective color to return me to a color naturally seen on human hair ( I was not wearing a natural nor pleasing color, to say the least, upon arrival). I went from Ronald McDonald’s lookalike to a respectable, attractive cut and normal color by the time I left. So much easier to go to work with others not looking ridiculous. Had she been presented with less damaged hair to work with, I have no doubt I’d have left with absolutely enviable hair! My chemically altered, multiple (ugly, shocking) colored, brittle hair had been snapping off like so much confetti, every time I brushed, prior to her “Hair ER” rescue. She recommended several products that I used religiously which also miraculously seem to have improved the shine and strength of my hair. I am again regularly getting compliments on my hair- and I highly and wholeheartedly recommend Kabrea! I am so grateful for her kindness in the face of my failed self-bleach and ultimately disastrous self hair coloring. I knew she could fix me if anyone could. BTW, did you know hair turns quite an interesting mix of orange/brass, pink, green and purple ( but NOT GRAY) if you bleach long black hair-oh, say five times in 10 days??… Oh, and then try to tone it silver or gray… hmmm- asking for a friend 🤣 So, for those with great hair who want fantastic hair- see Kabrea. She’s got that nailed. BUT (and this is even more important) if you have ruined hair and just want to again walk around without drawing a gawking laughing crowd- ( this is my experience and not to be perceived nor construed as a money back guarantee by the stylist, please note while I cannot imagine more destroyed hair in worse condition than MINE had been- I suppose that IS a slim possibility)- I believe Kabrea Dimmet Wright is your best hope of returning to a normal head of hair. Parting note- believe the stories. Don’t try to take your long black hair to blonde, gray, silver or platinum without a professional. Thank you, Kabrea! Due to my personal shame I cannot make myself post before and after pics. And it’s only the “before”, which I want desperately to forget, which would demonstrate the practical magic of Kabrea’s skill. Apologies, but sorry- no. I hereby grant approval for you to have and post my “before” pictures after my death. Hopefully after...
Read moreBeing new to Evansville, I was recommended to this salon. The stylist I worked with had several difficulties highlighting my hair to the desired results. I asked for thick blonde highlights, and results were heavy ash that made my hair look grey. Not a great look. Luckily, I was paired with very talented stylist who clearly knew more of what she was doing, who fix it. I was very grateful.
Having such a pleasant experience with her, I decided to rebook her services to handle the touch up. Unfortunately, the touch up came out very brassy and orange. I mentioned it was too orange for my taste and would prefer it to be more blonde. She tried putting more toner on it which helped some, but I ended leaving with it being darker than when I arrived. The stylist mentioned to go home and style it myself and look at it under different shades of light. She continue to share, if it still wasn’t shade I wanted, to let her know and she’d fix it.
After doing as she instructed, I felt it was still too brassy and called to establish a fix appointment as she mentioned. She successfully removed the orange from my hair and made it the blonde I wanted the first time. She mentioned being a new customer that sometimes it takes a few goes to figure out someone’s right mixture for their hair for their desirable results. I said that was understandable and I was grateful for fixing it. We even established a plan on how to tackle it in the future to achieve better results.
It seemed like a successful session, I even bought product she recommended. I was looking forward to working with her again, especially now that we’ve likely figured a more solid plan for the future.
Unfortunately, a few days later, I received a letter in the mail stating the salon felt its stylist were unable to meet my needs and best of luck finding a new hair salon. In all my life, I have never been kicked out of any where. I was completely shocked and disappointed.
For what it’s worth, I still highly recommend Danielle Robertson as a hair stylist. She has a great personality and is a gem to work with. It saddens me that I won’t be able to continuing using...
Read moreIf I could give zero stars, I would. The people are snobby and rude. The owner was AWFUL. He advised us that we were 'not a good fit' for their salon simply for asking why we needed to provide so much personal information just to get services. If you don't get dressed up to go get waxed or get your nails done, do not bother coming here. They Clearly judged us as soon as we walked through the door and were the most unprofessional people I've ever dealt with. I am now driving all the way to Louisville to go to a PROFESSIONAL salon with polite and friendly staff.
Response to the owners Inaccurate reply: No one that literally sticks his nose up, raises his eyebrows, and rolls his eyes is being either polite Or professional. Your positive reviews are in response to your Employees Talents (mostly your hair dressers), not your or your staff's rude and judgemental demeanor when you see a woman with a Broken Neck in comfy clothes and choose to treat her like a street urchin rather than simply accept and thank her for her POLITELY RENDERED feedback on your waiver process and your employee's need to go get the Owner when someone doesn't do something correctly when she could have simply Asked again and Clarified that the entire thing needed to be filled out. Period. And your petty responses to our negative reviews based on YOUR poor attitude and actions further...
