Hobby Lobby — Local services in Evansville

I am super disappointed with our visit today. The manner was rude with helping with us when we first arrived (an older woman with brown hair). Then we got to check out with Joanne C., and she was also disrespectful, enough to call my 5 year old son, who was being super well behaved, lazy for not wanting to carry a bag… that I did not ask him to carry. It wasn’t a big deal for me to carry bag… she literally said “you know what we call that in Alabama? LAZY.” When he shyly declined that he didn’t want to carry a bag, when he didn’t have to. He’s a super helpful kid and not lazy in the slightest. He just didn’t like the stranger confrontation. If I would’ve asked him to carry a bag for me, he would’ve. But no need to be rude over nothing and call a child lazy. I won’t be back for a long while. I hope they get some better employees and weed out the disrespectful and rude ones in such a typically friendly...

So crowded! I felt like I was at a theme park in the middle of summer... I had a very hard time finding what I needed, until I found an associate in the back of the store to ask. Then getting through the checkout process was insane. I had exact amount ready. But still had to wait around 4 minutes to get done. Sorry but from the time you put 1 item to be rung up & pay should never take that long. I then seen why it took so long & why the lines were over 10 deep with about half lanes open. "HL" please fix this... I know that your stores are very busy in this time of lots of people being home & wanting to do Christmas projects. But it shouldn't take over 25 minutes to get through the checkout. Will definitely do a double take...

What's not to love about Hobby Lobby?. I always get lost in this store for hours. My most recent trip was to search for something specific for my newly decorated bedroom. It's a beach theme and while they did have some beach themed items it wasn't much. There are lots of paintings but nothing along those lines that I was interested in. There were lots of tractor things and the country look is a big sell in this store. At least it appears to be. I would like to have seen more items in the thing I'm using but overall Hobby Lobby is a great place just to hang out and imagine what you can do with the items you see. customer service here is fairly helpful but I rarely have to ask for it after all it's all there...
