Throughout the years I've had several periods of Costco membership depending on my current circumstances and being able to utilize their services. Recently through a promotion I reluctanly obtained a membership again, and I'm rather satisfied with my experience. I have no current need for the sheer volume of the producs they offer, but I do appreciate the variety unavailable elsewhere as with the quality. As a single person with no others to consider, the overall experience and services are more what I intend to utilize. I don't have a big need for the fiel discount personally, but it's nice to see the prices are considerably lower than regular service stations, but the long lines are something to consider.
I realized at all the previous states I've lived in that the Costco's I would frequent were actually business center locations, because at first upon exploring this location I felt it was very limited in what my previous Costco experiences were like for certain products. But after doing a little nvestigation and asking some of my colleagues and friends, I realized that an actual Costco Business Center is not too far from here and that changed my overall thoughts and expectations at this particular location. With that in mind, the difference became less of a problem or concern and found it now somewhat more convenient for some shopping trips not having to cover as much distance within or suffer longer lines during check out.
As with most of the Costco's that I've shopped at, this one is generally very active with members, and parking can be a little difficult to navigate during peak times, typically of course the only time that I have to shop, but also it's manageable and predictable. The staff I've encountered here have always been extremely inviting, pleasant, and helpful. This location is also where I obtained my current physical membership card after signing up online, the membership agent left me with a very warm feeling as I was welcomed back to membership, it was such a pleasurable experience and interaction which I don't always get and I felt the need to express that here for anyone considering. I've known several different Costco employees over the years, and they all seem to love their job and always said they were treated very well and compensated competitively which gives me all the more reason to do business with them.
The food court at this location is located in a way that you don't have to enter the store to get to which I've never had at previous locations, and I like this setup for just a quick stop to grab a bite to eat while in the area or on my way out. I also like that they have several self ordering screens you can choose to order from, and for me it's much more convenient by alleviate a lot of the wait time that there used to be. There is a little bit of a problem that I've had at this particular food court though, it seems I always get a printer that prints out a receipt with my order number on it that is misaligned, nearly out of ink, or had clogged or worn out printer heads and it's been very difficult to read my order number on the paper receipt since it's not done correctly, this has been every single time too. Also, being busy as expected, those of us waiting for an order will stand a distance from the pickup window to allow room for those picking up,and the workers calling out orders as they come up are difficult to hear through the crowd. This has resulted in situations where my order was called out but I did not hear the announcement and had to approach the pickup area after a while to ask about my order to which the attendant would tell me it was announced but I did not respond and they had to prepare it again. It would be much nicer if they had a screen to show which order was ready or a PA system they could announce over some speakers, it wouldn't have to be very loud even, just some speakers situated closer to where...
ย ย ย Read moreA couple weeks ago I had an adverse customer service experience at this store. The young man who was at the self check station, stopped me and asked me for my Costco identification. I have been waiting for a specific spot to open. As I checked for my identification, a man who came up behind me, took the register I had been waiting for. He was not stopped for his identification. Instead the young man just let him pass. When I asked the young man what the difference was between us two patronsโฆ Other than our gender, there was no response. He didnโt even apologize, he simply turned and walked away. I reported this experience to two different sources. One floor manager I spoke to in store (after the incident). The other manager I phoned directly after the incident (in my car in the parking lot). I had a long talk with him. He assured me he was going to look at the tape and have a talk with the young man. I thought no more of it. Today however, as I was standing in line at the Costco storeโฆ Instead of just ringing me up, my cashier informed me that there was a โholdโ on my card. This held up the line behind meโฆ And was extremely embarrassing! I felt like a criminal! After getting my groceries, I had two managers, move me to the side to talk to me about this. They wanted to know โwhat my experience wasโ. I informed both of them that, holding me up in line, making everybody look at me, and putting a โholdโ on my Costco card was not helping. The female manager in front of me wanted me to relive this whole experience for her and tell her what had happened. There were obviously no notes anywhereโฆ To the contrary of the promises made to me; nor did she have a clue what was actually happeningโฆ Apparently. She pretended empathy, not once did I hear an apology on behalf of the company. Not once did they try to make it right during this conversation. Repeatedly I told them that putting a hold on my card and pulling me aside was not helping me feel better about what happened. I received an โIโm sorryโ. This apology was not prompted from any sense of duty or empathy, it was prompted because she was uncomfortable, standing there being on the receiving end of anger and frustration. She was โsorryโ for her, not for me. Not for the companyโฆ.but because she did not want to have to be responsible for apologizing on behalf of Costcoโs hold on my acct nor on my treatment that lead to this in the first place. They had my phone number; if they were this interested in how this experience had affected meโฆ Why didnโt they phone me? why hold me back in line and put a hold on my account, to make everybody behind me in line stare at me as if I were trying to write a dirty check or something?!? The people at Costco need to learn how to relate to their customers! They need to learn decency and respect! They need a customer service overhaul at this store! This is why women donโt report crimes . Because the women are made responsible. And yesโฆ This is a bigger topic than just standing in line at the grocery store. Ask your sisters, your mothers, your wives, and your daughters. chances are theyโve had similar experiences. In the meantimeโฆ The man who cut in front of me in line and did not have to show his Costco ID has had no need to look back on his experience whatsoever; HE has the gift of being able to drop it, even though his actions CAUSED ITโฆ Nor did he have a โholdโ put on his Costco card. This is not how you apologize to a customer for adverse customer service...
