Update: According to their response back, that's just how they work! Will not go through them ever again! Beware of their repair department!

We bought our fridge at judd & black years ago. (And theirs customer service used to be amazing! ) It's an electrolux and have loved it so far. It started acting up, so I was calling around for a repair tech. Was told that the only ones who really work on them are judd and black, and only if we bought it there. We did, so I called and they sent out a repair guy. The repair tech did very little (never liked at the compressor, never even pulled the fridge out) and then told my husband we either needed a new fridge or to spend a couple thousand on the refridgerant as there is a coolant leak. Then charged us $130. I was not convinced as he didn't really"check" anything. I started researching and within a week, our compressor fan made an odd noise and died. Figured I'd start by repairing that and see what else I found. I'd also read that sometimes defrosting the unit can fix these specific issues. Lo and behold, thawing the coils completely fixed the problem. It's not been running for a couple months without and issues. I called judd and black and talked to the repair department and told them what happened. They said they'd have the tech call me back. He's now claiming he told us to defrost the fridge (he did not) and that he mentioned the coolant leak because it's a common issue in these models. We truly appreciate Mack & the great service & advise he gives. I've had multiple issues with my washer. Ive mentioned to him whenever he's come here about troubles with the thing spinning. He had to pull the washer out this last time to put a new board in & discovered the drain hose the delivery guys shoved down the drain was way way to long. It should have been trimmed. Mack shortened it up & hopefully the water will pump out correctly now & it will solve the frustration of not spinning. I am so sick of having to wring clothes out by hand so the washer would spin. Unfortunately appliances are not made like they used to be. Mack is knows his stuff & is so very friendly. Truly an asset to to Judd & Black. Just a suggestion but maybe the delivery guys should be told not to put that much drain hose down the drain especially for people like us on a drain field UPDATE: After 1 Maytag washer that never ever worked correctly & was replaced under warranty with another of the same washer almost a year later. That washer had multiple multiple issues with service calls after service calls. I had purchased the extended warranty (thank heavens) Judd & Black, Kameron & Mack were great, finally got the washer deemed irreparable after almost another year. Mike was wonderful helping me pick out a totally different brand of washer. I purchased the front loader Electrolux & am loving it. Performs perfectly! I recently had Judd & Black repair my aging Jenn Air downdraft range. First they asked for my model and serial number to insure replacement parts would be available to avoid the expense of a service call on something they may not be able to fix. When (Chris the service tech arrived), he quickly diagnosed and resolved the primary problem by replacing the thermostat. After we asked for help with a couple other concerns. We had an intermittent high pitched sound while the gas was on, which was hard to isolate. He ended up going to his next appointing and then returned to work on it. He didn't want to start replacing expensive parts when he wasn't sure if it would fix the problem. In the end he took apart the burner assembly several times, check the gas valves, and in the end simply adjusted the airflow to resolve the problem without needing any new parts.
