I am making this review about Shelli Bertrand at Somers Property Management. When I tell you she is the best property manager I have ever had, that is an understatement.

I am a young disabled female navigating the difficulties of my condition and I often fear I will be judged or discriminated because of it. But Shelli has been so great and has really made me feel seen and heard which is such a huge deal with everything I’ve dealt with. She has made sure any accommodation I need is met and has not made me feel discriminated against for needing such accommodations. She has made me feel welcome in my new home and made me feel equal to everyone here even in my state of health and the extra work I probably have been.

She works so incredibly hard and you can tell she really puts her whole effort into taking care of everyone.

I am so incredibly appreciative of her and this company for just being so kind and helpful. They really walk you through every step of the process and make it so easy and swift. I was really worried getting back into the rental community especially with my state of health how it is now in comparison to before, but she has really made this move so easy and I couldn’t be more thankful for everything she has done for me and my family. Update: the owner contacted me incredibly quickly and resolved any issues. Offered to give me the rest of my deposit and will speak with the realtor. The owner, Angie, was really helpful and clearly knows how to run a business! My realtor was Kari Nations. I was warned about her uptightness by a family friend, but I had already moved in. She was really friendly at first but her persona flipped and she was short, rude, and condescending. When I had the place all clean (floors mopped, sink/fridge/stove wiped out, drip plates replaced, etc.), she came in and said it looked good, but there was some pet odor that she'd need to rent a deodorizer for. Ok I said, I understand. When I got the deposit back, I found out she took an extra chunk out to hire cleaners when she didn't mention anything about that at the walk-through. She never notified me about any additional hires except for the deodorizer and when I brought it up to her, she was again rude and condescending. It seems like she only puts on a friendly face for people that are about to be roped in by paying an arm and leg (for a bare-boned dry cabin might I add - not even a proper sink or counter), so please don't fall for it!!!
