UAF Community and Technical College — Attraction in Fairbanks

(Resident) $234/SH for 050-200 level courses from a community college is absurd.

(Non-Resident) $800/SH for 050-200 is a tragedy.

To put things in perspective, an Ivy league school will cost you ~$1,490 ... Harvard, MIT, .. not a community college, bucking change for an Associate's Degree.

Now that COVID19 is forcing more telework/remote learning options, UAF CTC simply is not competitive in price, nor has the prestige to charge this much per semester hour.

If UAF CTC wishes to be competitive, have a few Nobel Laureates as professors, put a few people on the moon, have a few alumni in Fortune 500 companies, or drop the price to the national average for a community college in the...

This is an extension of UAF offering technical classes and a variety of certificate and two year degree programs. It's on the bus line, and relatively easy for people with disabilities to access. There are counselors who can help students enroll in programs, do placement testing and get financial aid help on a walk in basis.
