Noel Wien Public Library — Attraction in Fairbanks

I went in about 4-5 weeks ago to look for a book i was very excited to read. They told me that the book was not available at this library, though, there was one still available at the North Pole library. They basically did this thing where they called the North Pole library so that they would ship it over here to Fairbanks Library for Pick Up. They told me they would call or send me an email whenever the book had arrived to pick it up. It was supposed to take only 1-2 days to get here. A week passed, not a call or an email about anything on my phone. I called that weekend and told me there was a mistake and that the book wasn't coming from North Pole anymore but from Anchorage. I asked how long would it take for it to get here and they told me it would take probably another week. At this point i was already mad, why would they tell me it was coming from North Pole if it was coming from Anchorage and not say anything to me? I called again the second week of waiting since it was supposed to be here already. They didn't give me a proper answer, they told me they didn't know anything about the book and that no book has ever been put to ship over here to Fairbanks for me. 2 Weeks later(today) in the morning i got an email saying that the book had arrived. First of i wanna say that this library when you first walk in looks dirty and depressing. Second, the workers there don't seem to even care about helping you look for something whenever you ask for help. Third, if i could rate this place 0 stars i would've already done that a long time ago. I hate this place i do not reccomend it AT ALL. To come to this place to look for a book then you must be really desperate having many other better libraries...

Library was fine, it was hit or miss on service. My complaint is i received a notice from the city lawyer about an over due movie that was from 2 year ago. $35 for a old Diego movie I'm positive I turned in. Called them up and I asked if there was a way to dispute this and I got a no and if you don't pay it you will be placed in collection 😦. She was very rude so I was like wonderful pay for a movie I haven't seen in years or get a bad mark on my credit, lovely. I go here for two reasons first to make copies from their printer because my printer makes like twenty copies then needs a ink cartridge refill that costs like $35.00 for two since that is the only one available and when, I am about to order a book on Amazon, I Check their website to make sure they do not have it if they do it to saves me waiting potentially a week to get it in the mail only to have the 10% chance happen where it gets...
