Dec 3. Called to see if a water dripping from a door can be fixed. Sent pictures and was told it can be fixed but I should wait for warmer weather so that the siding would be more pliable and would be less likely to crack. April 21. Appointment canceled 1 hour before appointment April 29. Appointment canceled 30min before appointment May 7. Technician arrived to fix leaking door. After inspecting the frame, he assured me that he was confident he could fix the leak. I was charged $965.47 to add extra flashing and to seal behind the siding. May 15. Inform Handyman that water was still leaking into the house. May 28. Technician came to look at the leak. He noticed that the sealant had not cured and had been washed away. He said he should have used silicone as we expected rain in the afternoon. He applied silicone seal over the cracked sealant. June 9. Water dripped into the house. Sent pictures to Handyman June 10. Handyman told me there is no guarantee for water intrusion and if I need the technician to come out it would be chargeable. I told them the technician said there was a 30 day warranty. Handyman said that was untrue and I wasn’t charge for the last call out. I reminded them that the technician told me that it was his fault to use a sealant that would not cure before the next storm. After spending $965.47 the door continues to leak and is no better than before Handyman did any worked on it. Insanity is when you do the same thing expecting different results. One star because the technician was very pleasant, seemed knowledgeable and had pride...
Read moreOriginal Review from Early 2017 Your professionalism and expertise. I will always use your company whenever possible. My only suggestion not compliant is that you only have one master electrician on call (he is awesome...but two electricians on call would probably be better for time management of electrical appointments.} I will be scheduling another appointment with the electrician later this month. My last few appointments have been of the electrical nature but I have used them for other jobs and am considering the home improvement team for our small home gym.You guys rock! Other's should take note on how to treat customers.
Updated Review 10/1619 I cannot say I would use Mr Handyman again for a few reasons. I initially felt they did an exceptional job but after the last few visits I do not feel the same. The work was average at best aside for the stellar Electrical work done late 2016 and early 2017. I did like the work done in my master bath but two months later the grout is starting the peel.
In conclusion, Mr. Handyman is ok for some jobs but not for all you will have to explore for yourself. Yes I might recommend to a friend...
Read moreMy experience with this company was nothing but a waste of time. I called the office to have someone install two replacement windows, he gave me a quote for the labor that sounded appropriate and scheduled a day for someone to come out and take measurements. The scheduled time slot came around the next week and I’m waiting there for nothing because no one ever showed up. I called the office and spoke to someone the next day, “it was a scheduling error” …. Ok sure, fine we’ll reschedule for a couple days from now. I get to my home at the time slot and someone actually showed up! Nice guy, he took the measurements of the window and what not, told me I’d be contacted in the morning with a more information. It’s been over a week and I’ve heard nothing from them. Maybe because it is a small job and they don’t stand to make all that much money off of it they chose to throw me on the back burner but if that’s the situation you should at least...
