Kay Thai Eatery — Restaurant in Fairfield

I rarely leave reviews, but seeing as how Kay Thai is new in town, this is a bit of a selfish move, because I'd really like to see them survive (and hopefully reviews like this one will help!).

I've tried literally every Thai place in the Fairfield / Bridgeport area and have been amazed at how hard it's been to find a decent bowl of Pad Thai. No longer!

I generally judge a Thai place first on its Pad Thai, and find that if that's not good, it's very rare that the rest of my favorites will be, and that's held true for the most part in this area. So naturally the first thing I tried here (takeout) was a spicy Pad Thai (level 4 out of 5) and was super happy to find that it really hit the spot! It was not too dry, not too wet, had great flavor and was well presented. I've gotten takeout like 5 times since and it's been spot on every time.

The Tom Yum soup was also fantastic: super hearty for this dish and the perfect level of spicy (again, level 4). I highly recommend both dishes.

I'm really looking forward to sampling the rest of the menu but didn't want to wait to leave this review. If the rest of the menu is as good as the Pad Thai and Tom Yum, I think I'll be in for a treat!

I moved to the area and drive by Kay’s every day on the way home from work. It always looked like something I would love and today I stopped in for a Wednesday lunch on my only day off. Kay immediately offered me a seat and was extremely kind in every way. There was a lunch special of rice, pad Thai, crab dumplings and an entree of your choice! I went with the Massaman curry because it was something I have never heard of and that is something I always love to try to do and get something new. The food was ready in what seemed like less than 5 minutes and had amazing flavor. Never ending herb combinations and bombs of flavor unlike I’ve had in other Thai food. Kay talked to me the entire meal and was so nice to speak with and happy to answer any questions I had. I will 100% be going back and recommending this to all my friends in search for great Thai food! I hope to learn some of the Thai cooking practices and Kay was very happy to set up a time in the future I could come in a learn from her in the kitchen! A true dining experience unlike I could ever imagine....

I recently had the pleasure of ordering carry out from this amazing Thai restaurant, and I can confidently say it deserves all five stars! We ordered the Cashew Chicken lunch special and the Chicken Thai Fried Rice, and both dishes were absolutely delicious.

The Cashew Chicken was a perfect blend of tender chicken, crunchy cashews, and a flavorful sauce that had just the right amount of spice. It was balanced, savory, and cooked to perfection. The Chicken Thai Fried Rice was equally impressive, with perfectly seasoned rice, juicy chicken, and vibrant vegetables. Every bite was packed with flavor, and the portion size was generous.

The service was friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere was welcoming and cozy. I highly recommend this place for anyone craving authentic, flavorful Thai cuisine. I will definitely be...
