FRED 06825 — Restaurant in Fairfield

The first time I went into Freds the owner asked my name and he never forgot it. When I go in there it feels like I have known Fred and the employees forever! I live down the street and go in there all the time. His employees are very friendly and helpful. They give suggestions and always have a smile on their faces. Fred is one of the nicest guys and is a great chef. I previously worked in fine dining restaurants, have taken cooking classes, and consider myself a foodie. I know the difference between good and bad food. I am shocked to see a reviewer comparing Fred's to Jersey Mike's. Wow do you really know good food? Jersey Mike's is horrible! Another reviewer talking about prices being high, fyi good food usually cost more. Another reviewer talking about small portions that is not true. Maybe they eat supersize foods at McDonalds. I also could not believe reviews that state Fred is not nice. Let me tell you how nice Fred is. I ran into Freds 1 evening late having a last minute invite to a friends house and needed to put together some food to bring. Fred wiped together some Chicken Parmesan, spaghetti and sauce, and off I went. Everyone loved the food and asked where I got it. Another thing that Fred did was I was getting married on Cape Cod, Massachusetts and was having it catered by a local caterer. I had no idea what the food would cost. I was talking with Fred about the situation and he wrote down what he would charge for the same amount of food. This was extremely helpful so when I finally got an estimate from that caterer I knew it was a fair price all due to Fred! Fred went way out of his way to do this. How many people know your name when you walk into an establishment and would do something that does not give them a dollar? This guy is great we needed a place like this in Fairfield. Please try Freds I highly recommend it. 5 Stars...

My aunt used Fred's services for my grandmother's party this past weekend and I just had to leave a review! The food was delicious, the presentation was beautiful and Fred & his team member helped us pull it all together. The guests were impressed and my grandmother was so extremely happy.

I'll also add: best horseradish dip I ever tasted! I'm not even a fan of horseradish, but I am of your dip, and the dill dip is perfection as well; have been enjoying it with sauteed veggies since the day after the party! I also read that Fred's has great gluten free options. Though most of what my aunt ordered was naturally gluten free anyway, I look forward to trying more things from this establishment's gluten free offerings!

Huge fan- Fred is top quality. As a foodie I wanted to try everything in the place and almost did. I ordered the turkey cranberry wrap and loved every bite - get this! The crab cakes were spot on and super fresh. I got some mixed granola for the next morning, which was fantastic and extremely convenient on the go. I had to go for some dessert too and got the chocolate mousse and a chocolate chip cookie - all delicious. I’d say the cookie might be the best in CT but I’ll let the people decide - has my vote. Friendly people working too! Very excited...
