I would like to start out by saying that I have had two prior visits for acrylic sets. The only issue I ran into previously is the nail techs drilling my nails too deep, resulting in red angry looking rings under my acrylics as they grew out. Despite this I decided to come in again, but this time I let feeling unhappy. I wanted an acrylic fill. While drilling my nails, the nail tech began drilling one nail too hard for a while, resulting in my cuticle bleeding and burning. I understand that can happen, so I tried to look past it. However, while handling my nails and hands, the nail tech was very rough, and overall had an unfriendly demeanor. When it came to color , I told her I simply wanted whatever black gel they have. She had me choose from a book, where I asked at least 5 times if the gel I picked out was black, to which she didn’t respond. After the first coat, I realized it was actually green. I said that’s green isn’t it, no answer. Finally the tech next to her said “You want black right”, to which she pointed her to the correct polish. While applying my polish, the application was just a little messy. There were small hairs caught in the paint, and my right thumb did not cure properly, resulting in a paint bubble underneath that moves. The shape is also not the same on both hands, with one being bulkier. While my nails were in the table lamp, she grabbed my shoulders and pushed my arms forcefully farther into the lamp. I did not appreciate the unwelcoming demeanor and the way she handled me roughly on multiple occasions. There was also an intense lack of communication. Unfortunately I left feeling unhappy with my nails and embarrassed about the situation. I will have to try...
Read moreI came in with my friend (who already left a review) and unfortunately had a very disappointing experience with a tech named Angela. I politely asked her to file my nails with a regular nail file instead of using the drill, because the drill was hurting and causing my nail to bend. She repeatedly said no—at first I thought she was joking, but she continued drilling despite my request, which made me really uncomfortable. She also never cut my cuticles, which is something I expect as part of basic service.
After I made the request, she turned to the man working next to us and started talking about me in front of me, saying I was “asking for too much” and that “there’s no difference” between a file and a drill. It was unprofessional and rude.
And the cherry on top? When I tipped her and said thank you, she snatched the money from my hand without saying a word and just walked away. The nails turned out decent, but for $100, I’d rather go to a place like iSpa or TJ Nails where you’ll get better service and...
Read moreWas looking to try a new nail salon and found this salon online. I was very hopeful because of such good reviews. Unfortunately my experience was not great. After me and my manicurist decided on a cat eye polish, and I mentioned that I did not want the specific magnet pattern all of their samples had, I was left waiting for at least 15 minutes after we had already started my manicure. My manicurist completely disappeared and I had to ask someone else where he went. The other woman said that he could not do what I was asking and then someone else took over. This person proceeded with my manicure which came out less than ideal due to the fact that the manicure was rushed as she tried to finish what the other manicurist started. This also led to me getting cut on two fingers. I really wanted to like this place but don’t think I will...
