Urban Wear — Local services in Fairfield

Moved to Solano over a year ago and its hard to find good places for Suits and Tux. I got married recently and before that I had a hard time finding a place to get my suit from. Found Urban Wear inside Solano Town Center. Zana the lady that runs the store was very helpful and knowledgeable about Suits. Told her exactly what I want and how I want. I have big arms so a stretch material was something I need and they have it. I also wanted to taper my pants so she offered to alter it for a very good price. Basically a one stop shop for me which is great! A day before my wedding I decided to try on the suit and because I lost weight from the time a bought it, my coat got a little loose on me. I went back and she didn’t hesitate to exchange it to a one size smaller. Zana was very easy to deal with, very professional, the way she tapered my pants was on point just the way i want it. She said “I want you to look great on your big day”. Zana cares about her customers! Its not always about making money its about how you treat your customers! Buyer BEWARE!! I inquired about a dress shirt that they have. I was willing to buy all the colors they have if they had my size. Through out a 10 year span I have purchased over 40+ Marquis dress shirt and I am familiar with the MSRP price and the mark up. It ranges from $27-$30 and that's already with a 60% mark up factored in. The lady was trying to rip me off when she saw I was willing to buy. She brought out 4 shirts and stated she had more colors in the back. I inquired about the price because the dress shirts had no price sticker/tag on them. She stated $50. I showed her the price from 3 competitors and Amazon and said I was willing to pay $40 ( Tax included ) since i was already there and she said no. I know it's a mom n pop shop and they are trying to make a profit and I support independently owned/ small businesses. I understand maybe a $5-$7 mark up but $20 above MSRP? That's insane. Your making people not want to shop at small businesses and you wonder why you don't have business.

I normally do not write negative reviews, however, today is different. I will say, Urban Wear at Solano Town Center has some excellent looking men's clothing. I was very impressed!

My experience is with the sales lady, who assisted me. Initially, she was very pleasant and once I inquired about the cost of a blazer is when her demeanor and attitude changed.

I do not mind spending my hard earned money on anything, anywhere. I do shop around for the best deals. My wife and I were in the process of doing a price comparison on this blazer, the sales lady took offense to that. Why? I do not know. She further attempted to snatch the blazer out of my hand and I told her, you can't do that. She also stated she would call the police. Why? I don't know, no crime was committed. Then she stated that she didn't want my business. Of course, I would never give your company my money after this experience.
