Today is August 27th, 2025. It is 3:30pm. I am in Fall River, MA, working. I was gonna get food here, and it’s my first time ordering from here. I’ve never had the food before. And now I potentially never will. A lady picked up the phone and was rude to me. It was about 3:15pm at the time of my call to the restaurant. So this was just now, about 15 minutes ago. I saw on the menu this restaurant does a hibachi lunch special Monday through Friday from 11:00am-3:30pm, so I asked about the hibachi special. The lady told me, the hibachi special ends at 3 o’clock. I said, okay, well your Google Reviews menu shows that you have a hibachi lunch special Monday through Friday 11:00am-3:30pm, not 3pm. And she responded, no it’s 3pm. So I said, does it make that much of a difference to you, it is 3:15pm, and your menu says 3:30pm. So you’re telling me if I called you at exactly 3:00pm, I could have ordered the hibachi special? “No, you can’t get the hibachi special after 3:00pm.” Big red flag. I am very picky where I eat. This place “looked” nice. But looks can be deceiving I suppose. My first impression is that they have rude staff who would rather lose the business than make a good first impression, and they are irresponsible in the management of their online appearance, so I can only imagine I dodged a bullet here. Perhaps the food would not have been good had I ordered here. I suppose I will not be trying this restaurant. Rude staff is enough to scare me away from remaining seated at a restaurant. Discrepancies with menu options are just as much of a red flag. To me, these are indications of a poorly run restaurant. I’ve worked in the restaurant business for decades. This is unacceptable behavior. I would avoid this restaurant if I were you reading this. That is my professional opinion as someone who has managed several restaurants and collaborated with top tier chefs in the food industry.
P.S. Best wishes to your restaurant. Hope you can hire someone else to answer phones who cares about your business as much as you do. If it were one of my restaurants, this woman would be fired immediately.

Best hibachi we've EVER had!! 👍👍👏
PROS:
Only Miso Soup I like...and I've tried several. 👏👍
I got Steak & Shrimp both times. Both excellent! *See note below about steak doneness.
The fried rice is outstanding (flavorful and tender)...; My daughter loved it too. As well as my husband. Actually BEST fried rice EVER!! 👏👍😁
The hibachi sauce they use is DELICIOUS and well-balanced. Not too salty, too sweet or too spicy. Just perfect!
And something I don't find too often is: a mix of veggies that I love (not a fan of sprouts, water chestnuts, baby corn;) This had zucchini, eggplant, carrots, and broccoli. 👍... !
Also NOT a fan of Al Dente / Crunchy veggies...Not mushy, but not crunchy -- "Medium-Well to Well-Done", if you will; is my personal preference....; But I think the standard is Al Dente, more on the Medium-Rare to Medium side. Too crunchy for me! ...
Anyway.....this is the first place I've ever had a vegetable cooked the way I really enjoy it. 👏👏👍👍
The sushi was excellent as well. The Philadelphia roll, shrimp tempura, and lobster tempura were awesome!
NEUTRAL/CONS:
I won't order the spicy shrimp or ask for spicy mayo again, because it was REALLY spicy, even for my husband - who eats much spicier food than I do. And even he thought it was too spicy. But an easy adjustment on subsequent visits, we just steer clear of anything labeled spicy.
*Note about the steak:
My only negative thing to say...
It tasted great and was mostly tender;
However both times ordering my steak, Medium and Medium-Rare, respectively...they were both overdone. Not Well-Done, just not what I asked for. Not much pink. But since it still tasted good and was tender enough, this doesn't bother me too much. Although, I may try asking for Rare next time. But....still, I don't fault them too much for this, especially since the cuts of beef are fairly small, so overcooking them is common. A T-Bone or 6 oz Sirloin can be timed by thickness etc; I'm not sure a small bite-sized chunk of beef can be measured like that?? 🤔🤔
Also, service is excellent 👍👍👏👏, especially our friendly waiter/manager (can't think of his name right now - Alex? No..ugh that's gonna kill me; but it's a very common American name), but anyway, we recognized him from a previous establishment...
Read moreWe have gone to tokyo many times before and the service was great. Unfortunately today was the absolute worse. The waiter was so rude to my husband and I and also another party of 6 that was sitting at the table and getting irritated when we had to continuously repeat our drink order. We sat down at 8pm didn't get our drinks served until 830 mind you we wanted to order a mudslide and blue moon they didn't have that plus the party that sat with us they didn't have any of the drinks they wanted to order. The waiter kept messing up the orders when it was being placed he never brought the soup and salad to us it was given once the chef came to cook the food. We order an appetizer that we didn't get until I had to flag the waiter down. I then go let the I guess the supervisor know what terrible service out table was having and I just got ya ya ya to death did nothing about it didn't apologize nothing. I'm sorry but if I'm going to drop 80-100 dollars for a dinner at least minimum service should be expected. Never came to check if we needed anything and had another waitress hand us our bill. Needless to say that was the worse experience I've had there and if it happens again if we ever decide to go again it will be our last. If we were jerks then I could understand but when I want to go enjoy a nice meal and the waiter is a complete jerk and rude well your service reflected in your tip maybe being a waiter isn't for that guy. But unfortunately I give this 1 star and it's unfortunate because the food...
