Thank God for blessing us with Aldi for real! I truly believe that Aldi and the handful of other discount grocers that are around are the sole reason that many families are able to afford to eat everyday! My boyfriends dad had brought up a few times here recently what you can hear echoed across the whole country, the insane cost of food and the consistent price increases with no end in sight! He has been getting all his groceries from the Walmart down the street from his house and really does his shopping for any and everything he needs soley from Walmart. I could have died when he told me what he's spending per week and per month there JUST on FOOD! Granted, he's a well passed middle aged widower, and I don't think he was the main shopper for the household which would explain much of his situation here. So he finally took me up on my offer to help him In learning to smart shop or survival shop! Longer story short, we went to Aldis first and the goal was to get everything possible from there first, and for any stragglers still on our list that Aldi did not have, we went to the store that was having the best sales or deals to finish up the literally 5 or less items.. household supplies included! Aldi has grown over the years as more people have made the choice to stop throwing away money for nothing by going to the more expensive stores, and it's crazy to realize that Walmart, which used to be just about the cheapest around, isn't so affordable anymore, prices just about the same as what used to be seen as higher priced chains Like schnucks or target, Kroger, price chopper, etc Anyways we filled his fridge, cabinets, household supplies everything for less than $300! The amount we got even impressed me. I'm looking forward to more shopping trips with Pops and seeing him get excited over scoring a good price, not to mention the ability to eat all through the month without selling a kidney......
Read moreI'm a Widow on Social Security and I only have so much money to spend per month. I can walk out of Aldi's with three to five bags full of food. I buy everything at Aldis except Meats they're meats are little expensive and there's no butcher if I want something cut, you know differently, maybe a thicker cut of chops or more Burger than what is in a package and they really don't have sales on meat. But I buy everything else my fresh, my Frozen, my can goods and I'd probably spend a good 80%of my food budget at Aldi's. What is most amazing to me is like I said I only buy once a month and all my fruits and my vegetables will stay very nice for that whole month. And I bought from other stores and been lucky if they lasted a week or two. I've got one friend that I've been trying to get to Aldi's for over a year she complains constantly about how much food money she spends, but I just can't seem to get her in the front doors, maybe one of these days l will get her there and then she'll see just how much money she will save.

Read moreHas a Fantastic variety of food and items. Most items are definitely fairly priced. It seems I get more for my money here at aldi. I feel like some of the meats are a bit over priced as well as freezer items for lunches, breakfast and dinner foods. When I passed through the vegetable and fruit isle, the iceberg lettuce and other items there were going bad because they are so warm. When I picked the lettuce up, it was room temperature and I searched a while for one with no brown in color. Last I knew, aldi had the best selection of fruits and vegetables and they were so fresh and well kept. I feel like they are not now. The customer service for Aldi was really great and warming. I feel like the upkeep of the store has gone down hill a bit. There was receipts and trash around the bagging counter as if no one picks up when they see trash. If the cleaning trash/receipts is not being done then I know the counter, where I sat my food on to bag is not sanitized like...
