My wife and I did the drive-thru Wed afternoon (10/19/22) and brought our order home to eat. Our drive home is maybe three or four minutes from this place, so our food should have still been nicely hot when we opened our bags at home. My "Ultimate Cheeseburger" was okay and kinda warm, but far from hot. Our curly fries were not warm ("room temp"?) and seemed like lunch leftovers -- they were dry, "over-cooked" and did not feel or taste like they'd been fried recently. Worse, my wife's "Sourdough Jack" was not even warm, and hadn't been hot enough to melt the slice of Swiss cheese that was on it -- yet the bread was dried out as if it had been under a heat lamp for too long. We ate only a few of the curly fries, and my wife ate only a few bites of her sandwich before giving up. This was a very disappointing meal. This was the first time we'd tried this Jack's in quite a while, but based on this experience, I'm questioning if we'll go back. I warn people, if you go here: Check the quality and temps of your food before you leave the parking lot (as we did not do) ... or maybe better yet, don't go here, and instead, go to Culvers or somewhere else. UPDATE: The day after I posted this review, I received an email entitled "Response from the owner" informing me, "We're disappointed to hear that, Glen. You should always expect hot, fresh, properly cooked food at Jack's. We'd like to look into this further. Please reach out to us at" an URL provided. I went to that URL, and it was a Jack in the Box site, but the main feature there was 404 error (page not found), and the statement "You're in the wrong place. Lets get you back safely." and a "BACK TO HOME" button which seemed to do nothing when clicked. However, at the bottom of the page was a link "Contact Us" which then took me to a page for "WHAT CAN WE HELP YOU WITH TODAY?" and a survey form that allowed me to file a complaint about this experience -- which I did. UPDATE 2: Later that same day (10/20/2022), I received an email stating the following: "Thank you for sending us your feedback. We value your comments and are committed to providing awesome experiences for all our guests.
A Jack in the Box representative will be reviewing your feedback. If you provided feedback about a specific restaurant location, your feedback will be sent to the appropriate district manager or owner/operator. This same person would also contact you if you requested to be contacted about your feedback.
Thank you and have a terrific day!
The Jack in the Box Guest Relations Team" UPDATE 3: Today, 10/24/2022, I received an email from the Jack in the Box district manager, to which I will reply. Resolution of all...
Read moreJust went through the drive through to order 2 bacon and egg sandwiches. The first girl that took my order was sweet, professional, and did her job flawlessly. She must have gotten pulled to the side, because a second lady came in to take my order. No problem, right? Well, their drive-thru speaker doesn’t work very well, and i had to repeat my order twice to the first girl. Still no problem. I have to repeat my order twice to the second lady, as well. Naturally, thats a tad annoying, so i start to speak up a little bit, and shorten my phrases in hopes that helps them do their job easier. Lord knows if im struggling with it once, they probably struggle with it 500 times a day.
The problem came in when after she read me my total, i said, “ok, thank you,” in a louder, short way so she could hear me. She must have thought i was being rude, so mocking me, sue spoke up through her microphone, repeated what she perceived my tone to be back to me, and VERY quickly said my total and to pull around to the window. Being very snarky and rude.
So when i got to the window i asked to speak to the second lady that took my order. I continue to explain to her what ive already mentioned above about why i was talking loud. I also told her i dont need you mocking me, and i dont appreciate that you did. She tried to deny it, and i cut her off and said yes you did and you know it. You repeated my tone to me and raised your voice back. Your mic works just fine. Im just telling you i dont appreciate it.
....still got charged for my meal. Its not about the little $7 for 2 sanwiches and a tea. I just got off chemotherapy 3 days ago and have been feeling PLENTY bad anyway without her help. I dont recommend ever going here if this is how they treat people. Im not perfect by any stretch of the imagination, but you dont mock people in the first place...much less as the MANAGER of a Corporate Restaurant. I know she was the manager because she had on a peach collard shirt. Reddish blonde hair and freckles. Taller for a lady, and a little heavier set. Lets hope for the future of that place and the owners they weed out...
Read moreDrive-thru only... happy with the quickness, pleasant friendly service. Only gripe is something ALL fast food establishments are currently challenged with, well... and most every other business...THE COST !! ...and it becomes a double-whammy to the consumer when SHRINKFLATION techniques are also integrated into the mix. Not saying J-Box has necessarily squeezed product out of their "standard" portions cuz I don't frequent any FF joints and best I'm aware J-box burgers have never had hamburger patties that exceeded the diameter of the buns they're stacked on(not generally anyway... which, not pointing entirely at them, all the FF joints use this "trick") , BUT, "that bun seems to be growing" disproportionately to the (beef) star of the show. That, now more than ever, is a huge motivator to stop utilizing the occasional convenience of FF places. I will, however, add this about JitB... When I travel and haven't had opportunity to eat until very late and haven't the energy and/or resources at home, their 24 hr service is greatly appreciated. AND... tho FF in general is obviously not ideal for one's general health, JitB food has always been tasty and generally served it's basic purpose. For that I am also appreciative. Just can't afford ya...
