Pathetic! First and foremost the problem is the service. Initially we sat at a table but noticing they had not come around I went up to the bar to get a menu and a water for my wife. The bartender gave me a menu and then disappeared. The other bartender "Shawna" looked at me several times and I even waved at her. As I am not a regular apparently I was not important. She proceeded to fill the ice and took orders from everyone else at the bar. The original bartender came back to the bar with bags from the dollar store. Apparently shopping was more important than her patrons. I proceeded to wave at her and again was passed over. Shawna proceeded to pass by again taking orders from the regulars than passed by where my wife was still seated to get dirty dishes off the neighboring table. After waiting for over fifteen minutes between the table and the bar it was then that we decided to leave. We will not be back and I often wonder why we even bother ever giving this place business. Absolutely pathetic. Unless your a regular expect to be treated like a dead dog. The owners really need to teach the bartenders that their job is to service...
Read moreI liked the name of the place, so I checked it out for St. Patty's day. The bartender was really nice. I think her name was Ashley. I usually have problems with lady bartenders, but not @ stix & steins. I played some pool until I was content, then ordered food at the bar. The fried pickles are good. The fries are good. I ordered a HAM-burger and received a beautiful CHEESE-burger... That's where I run out of good things to say, it's bar food ya know.
I'll make sure to give vivid details next time I order a burger here. It's easy to make this mistake. I've done it a million times myself as a line cook in the past, but I never took 15-20 minutes on a remake, then another 10 minutes on fresh garnishes. The new burger and new garnishes always go out at the same time, not separately. The guy apologized, and it was a positive experience over all. It's just exhausting being lactose intolerant ya know. Forgot to take pictures of the food, but I think it's accurately represented in other...
Read moreI was in town for work from out of state and stumbled across Stix & Steins in Farmington, MO — what a great find! First off, the place is extremely clean, neat, and well-kept, which is always a huge plus when you’re somewhere new. They’ve got awesome happy hour prices, especially if you’re into whiskey — can’t beat it. The beer is ice cold just like it should be!
The bartender was fantastic — very attentive, super talkative, and made me feel genuinely welcome. For someone traveling, that kind of hospitality really stands out. It felt like I’d been there before even though it was my first visit. The drinks were mixed perfectly, very flavorful, and you can tell the bartender knows what they’re doing.
If you’re into pool, they’ve got cheap games, quality pool sticks, and the tables are in great shape — not worn out or torn like you see in other places. Overall, it’s a comfortable and fun spot to relax. I’ll definitely be coming back when I’m...
