Update
Luis is no longer the manager and I won't be continuing at this location as a member because I simply am not interested in being there if the space isn't under his curation and guidance. I'm still leaving my review as 5 stars because it was genuine when I left it but my take now is no stars. It's such a bummer.
This review is specifically geared towards the incredibly awesome manager LUIS!!!! I actually worked here and we started at the same time. The manager at the time needed to step down and Luis immediately took up the mantle with so much grace and class. Working with him has been phenomenal and I've learned so much from his proactive and efficient, not to mention personable and human centric, managing style. 5 stars for Luis, hands down!! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
The concept of Hotworx is actually pretty amazing and in the time I worked there, we really prioritized picking the place up and making it shiny and wonderful, because that's what the members deserve! Luis guides the team with effective and clear communication and problem solves so efficiently. I do have to say that this location has so much potential and it feels like it's just getting started. Read moreI’ve been a member of HotWorx for two 90-day cycles now, and my experience has been a rollercoaster. They are on their 3rd general Manager now and I’m Hoping things will become more consistent. The studio’s cleanliness and atmosphere are inconsistent, which seems to depend heavily on which staff are working. Sometimes, the studio is spotless, saunas are clear, and the atmosphere is calm and relaxing—exactly what you’d expect from a wellness space. Other times, the glass on the saunas is so fogged and dirty you can’t see in or out. I’ve even seen a young child age 4-5 hanging out inside the saunas, eating, watching movies on beanbags, and making quite a bit of noise.
There have been days when food debris is scattered on the sauna floors, and walking barefoot isn’t an option—one time I did, and the soles of my feet turned black. However, I also want to commend the staff who genuinely care, keeping the place clean, helping members, and maintaining a welcoming environment. Unfortunately, this standard is inconsistent, and it’s clear that some staff are more dedicated than others.
I’d love to see consistent cleanliness, better enforcement of rules, and a more relaxing environment overall, especially for a place meant for wellness...
Read moreI would like to report on a negative experience at the Farmington, UT location regarding the General Manager - Jamie. Jamie wrote me a text message late at night regarding a “missing mat” that i rented from the location. Upon trying to return the mat, there was no location for me to return it to within the studio, and the locker it came from was already locked. There were no staff employees at the location while i was there, even thought-according to the website- a staff member should have been present. Therefore, there was no one to assist me with the mat situation, so i left it by the lockers where i picked it up from. Jamie then proceeded to send me a strongly worded text message regarding “following policy” outside of business hours, neglecting to respond to my mention that no one was there to staff the location she runs during business hours. This interaction was a complete let down, and was incredibly disrespectful. As a general manager, the focus for Jamie here should not have been on the mat, but rather on her lack of staff during open hours. Before coming at me sideways regarding a simple misunderstanding, it would have been nice to see Jamie address the real issue and do her...
