They may have good food, but don't try to order take out. I've tried two different days: Once for lunch - called 13 times over 20 minutes (it's what a client wanted to eat), ZAO never picked up; once for dinner -- was on hold for more than 10 minutes, finally hung up. Hope you have better luck.
I first called Wednesday 2/24 at 3:43. A woman answered, greeted me and started helping someone else in person without asking me to hold. I was listening to their conversation. This went on for several minutes. She got back on the phone and started my order, then started a conversation with someone else (in person) and continued that for another minute or two. Finally, I guy picked up the phone and was helpful...but told me I couldn't place an order to be picked up the next day. (Door dash did not have a dasher available at the time I needed).
Then I called Thursday morning...started calling at 11:01. Called 14 times. Did not get an answer until 11:23. By then, it was too late.
Did not feel like customer service was important at all; perhaps at the restaurant...
Read moreVisited for lunch today. This place wins the prize for consistently OVERCHARGING! "Up charges" are the norm. It is so frustrating to eat here! I was charged extra for noodles and for corn!!! Really??? Corn and noodles for my salad? The sauce was good but too bad the experience was tainted by being over charged.
Come on Zao! Charging extra for DOUBLE CORN??? I didn't get double corn!!! And why don't you tell the customer which noodles cost more? I'm not a noodle expert, just SAY when things are an EXTRA CHARGE! I even asked the guy making my salad (dark hair, glasses, about 20 years old Nicolas O.? ) which noodles come with the salad and which are extra, and kept saying to me, "which do you want?" I want the ones that don't cost extra!!! Still, I was charged for the expensive noodles. I told him, "I just want what comes with the salad". He kept saying, "do you want this? Do you want this?" I JUST WANT WHAT COMES WITH THE SALAD! Apparently, it was a trick question! My $9.95 chicken salad ended up costing me $14.40. SO...
Read moreThis is the first time we've tried this restaurant. We placed our order online picked up quick that was the best thing I can say. We got home only to discover they hadn't put the sauce (yellow curry) in my husband's dish, we called and they offered for us to come back and get it but that's a long drive when it should have been in there like the order stated. I'm sure you can imagine eating a curry dish with no curry sauce wasn't very good pretty bland/dry to say the least. Then on my order I got the teriyaki sauce with some spice...you can't even taste the teriyaki sauce because there's so much spice! I had 3 bites and had to toss it out it was burning my mouth and lips and seemed like it would hurt my stomach...it's just too much spice (and I really like spice!) I'm thinking there's no way this sauce is supposed to taste like this and was probably mixed incorrectly. I really wanted to like this place, but it definitely wasn't worth the $25 for all the mistakes. Best of luck and check your order careful...
