Admiral Pub — Restaurant in Farragut

I have been coming here for years. 2+ years ago it changed ownership and went from a Casual Pint to The Admiral Pub. Now they offer a very good selection of Wines and Bourbans in addition to traditional and craft beer. The atmosphere is awesome, the bartenders even better! One bartender, Jo, is full if fun, fun, fun just like Tigger (Winnie the pooh reference for those of you who are young or have no kids). This bar offers darts (a league on Tuesday) Golden Tee, shuffle board, and lots of TVs for your sports venue. If you like trivia they have a special theme each month. But wait! There's more! They offer 2 private rooms that can be reserved. Did I mention food? Hah, they are not just a pretty bar, they have a decent menu of bar food including a solid pizza, hot dog, meatball sandwiches and more. Alas, I am sounding like a promotional company. I mean, it was OK. Wife and I stopped in for a few beers on an early Saturday . We were definitely not greeted with a smile or in a friendly manner by any of the supposed super hospitable personnel that these reviews state. The younger bearded bartender slowly grew accustomed to us after a bit, but the older, white haired bartender, never even glanced at us or acknowledged our existence. It seemed they were way more partial to the regulars. They were literally high-fiving each other ! Kind of a weird clique feeling here. I have been a guest and a fan of Admiral Pub since before it was Admiral Pub. They have taken what was a concept with great potential and turned it into something special. A great experience on your first visit and if you happen to be more of a regular, as I am, it doesn’t get old. While the atmosphere, pub food and outstanding drink options are huge, it is the people ( Bartenders ) that make it what is is. For example, Jo took care of us most recently.
