Over all I would give my experience a 3 star 🌟 🌟🌟. I have been here several times since the new owner's have taken over. I gave it time before writing a review, hopeful that my experience would change and be better. Yesterday, I had the Hot Honey Cheese Bites which were something new that I had never eaten here before. The Cheese Bites did leave me wanting more after each bite. So those are definitely a must have when you go here.
However, I had to give the food a 1 star 🌟 overall. I would give the food no stars if it weren't for the cheese bites. I am not an overly picky person and definitely not a food connoisseur. I went with something new and something I knew for this visit. I had the Mixed Berry Salad during my latest visit which I have had before. Upon initial inspection of the Salad the fruit and Spinach looked a bit old. After applying the Apple cider vinegarette dressing (which is very sweet and didnt taste like the vinegarette I've had at all the last time I ate this) I mixed it around. I found the Spinach was wilted underneath the majority of the Salad and it did not seem that the Spinach had been cleaned prior to serving. It almost had the right out of the bag or container taste. The Salad seemed to be missing ingredients as well. It did not have the sunflower kernels.
I have always loved the idea of 35 north. But every time I have eaten here it has left me unsatisfied.
The server I give her 4 Stars 🌟🌟🌟🌟 would have given her a 3 but she did go out of her way to return my card I accidentally left there. If she would have introduced herself, refilled my water and been more pleasant I would have given her 5 stars because she did check on me several times but wasn't very observant.
Last but not least, the Atmosphere. I gave it 4 stars 🌟🌟🌟🌟. 35 North is lacking a little bit. When I walk in there my first impression is this place should be a community staple. With decor from Farragut Local Club's and Residents. It does sit on land with rich history so I do expect more from the interior aesthetically. The exterior of the building itself is unique so I do expect the Atmosphere to be unique as well and that's not the vibe I get when I walk inside.
I so want to see this resturant thrive and be successful. But in my opinion there are somethings that need to be changed in order for it to flourish. Are the owner's going for a high end restaurant or a local place that brings people together? Because it cannot be both. That is something that I think needs to be addressed because what is being portrayed is sending...
Read moreWorth the long read! We thought we would try this place tonight for the McGregor vs Poirer fight. We live just a few miles away and thought this would be a good time to try it. Well we were totally wrong! We should have listed to the reviews and stayed home and paid for the fight, it would have been cheaper! We ordered 10 wings and fries with some kind of dessert in a glass jar that was 1 inch around 2 1/2 inches tall! Just that bill was 45.39!!! This was more expensive than a Filet mignon dinner at Texas Roadhouse!!! And to top it off you can get the same food at the gas station, NO JOKE! So we waited 30 minutes to see a waitress to flag down to ordered 2 drinks, a beer which was flat, it is obvious it is NOT stored at the proper temperature!!! I had a daiquiri, when the first one was brought to the table it was completely liquid no ice! After waiting 20 minutes to see our waitress, I asked if it is supposed to be liquid. She said no I will have them remake it. So she brought the second one 20 minutes later. Half of it was liquid with the rest chunks of ice! Then I tasted it and it was completely gross! It tasted like it was made with Tequila! It had salt around the rim even! I told the waitress this and she apologized and handed my husband the bill. Can you believe she charged us almost 11.00 for a drink that was made wrong and wasn't right at all!!! I will be calling the manager tomorrow! If they don't refund the money for the drink I will call my bank and fight the charges! Now let's talk about all the children running around the place. I love kids, but having them in a bar is not something that is right or moral! Big tables of kids were outside with no adult supervision! It was very busy due to the MMA fight. We watched 2 kids walk right up to a table that some adults left half drank beers and drink the alcohol down! We found the parents at the bar! This is exactly why you should not allow children in a bar! After the MMA fight was over we watched several men literally stumble drunk to their car and get in and drive away! It was clear they should have been denied alcohol long before they got that drunk! Either this place will get sued when one of the drunks kill someone leaving the BAR or just because everything is so terrible! WE WILL NEVER BE BACK!!! Don't waist your...
Read moreWent there last night and enjoyed the experience with family. The dining experience is a hybrid between a food truck park and pub type experience.
Food was good, table service was (Beer and Whisky) with Sushi and soft drinks at a modest self service fountain kiosk on the lower level.
Lots of steps with 4 distinct drinking and dining lounge areas. Outside dining garden looked great. Alas, weather was chilly and raining, so no dining outdoors this night. If you have, physical or mobility challenges, getting around will be a bit of a project to navigate.
TV Overkill, Massive Big Screens in all directions. No matter where you sit the assault of video Sports is relentless. Difficult for children not to get distracted from family and conversation is challenging if not impossible due to the screen issues. That was a disappointment. Some areas of respite from the screens would have been welcome.
My wife loves the Food Truck Experience. I however lack her passion. It was nice that there was seating and the runners were great with very short food from Order to table delivery. Less than 15 minutes wait time despite ordering from the Cuban and Pizza trucks. My issues was that of eating from a Styrofoam box and tin foil with plastic flatware. Thats me though.
Overall the fare and adult beverages would push the pricy button. Four Adults with separate meals $ 65.00, a flight of 4 Whisky samples $ 40.00, three soft drinks and three beers $ 18.00 and a nice tip to the runners and servers puts you around $160.00 for tab.
Very friendly and polite folks from diners to imbibers and staff.
Its was nice to be out in public and share the experience. You need to try it if budget permits.
The facility is very clean, social distancing and face diapers were in place
Diners observed safety...
