Wife and I have been wanting to try this place for a few months now, and I'm glad we did. We ordered the fried pickles, curly fries, Garlic Spicy and Red Hot Chicken Tenders. The fried pickles were cooked great and not too greasy, the curly fries were shockingly good I was just expecting a usual curly fry experience but these really stood out to us. Both of those items were very fresh and hot.
We love spicy food so we ordered the 2 hottest sauces available for our chicken tenders. The spice was not were I was hoping it would be, it left much to be desired for sure. The Red Hot sauce was the favorite between each one and it did have a very slow building spice that after eating all of them left a little burn. The Garlic Spicy was definitely less spicy than the Red Hot so not spicy at all and had some very noticeable sweetness that I wasn't expecting. I will also note that the chicken tenders by themselves were great.
Some interesting things I want to point out, is firstly and most importantly they don't have ranch dressing at all so those of us who love ranch dressing with fried chicken and fries better bring your own bottle or use their ketchup. Also, the dip that comes with the fried pickles is not ranch and they called it a "Pickle Sauce" which is fine but they charged me extra for another serving of it because I thought it went well with the fries and chicken. I just found it strange to charge extra for an extremely cheap mayonnaise based sauce, but whatever.
Atmosphere was fine several tv's with K-Pop playing and one TV making pastries... Service was also great very attentive and consistently refilled our waters.
Would definitely come back and it is also kid friendly because they have low spice...
Read moreFirst time visiting this establishment. The atmosphere was relaxed, and only two other parties were there while we were eating at around 4:30pm. We took a minute to read through the menu, which was simple: you choose your flavor, and then choose how you want it. I had regular fried chicken, in drumstick form. They also serve it as tenders, half chicken (chopped up) or whole chicken (also chopped up). We chose two appetizers; onion rings and mozzarella sticks. Both were delicious!! Hot and fresh, the cheese sticks were fully melted inside and not too salty. There were 5 in the basket. The onion rings were thin enough to bite through easily, crispy, and again, hot and fresh! Full basket as well, they did not skimp on the portions. Some of the best I've ever had! My meal, which was $12, consisted of 5 chicken drumsticks. They were large, fresh, crispy, juicy, and hot! After the appetizers, I was only able to eat two of these perfectly seasoned legs, but I was provided a paper to go box (and instructions on how to close the box after I tried and failed a couple times lol) and I will be eating my leftovers for lunch today. The service was incredible. The two people running the front were efficient, friendly, gorgeous, and very helpful. They explained the menu to us, answered all questions we had had, and made sure our drinks stayed full. Highly recommend this delicious restaurant! I will be going back soon and bringing whatever friends I...
Read moreMy wife and I stopped for lunch at CM Chicken in Farragut on 6/24. The food is FANTASTIC, the service is great, and the portions were generous.
I had the spring onion garlic soy chicken, and she had the snow onion chicken. Hers was a sweeter flavor, reminiscent of the yumyum sauce you'd get at other restaurants, but lighter. Mine was incredibly flavorful, with a great blend of fresh, sweet, savory, and spicy. The chicken was juicy and tender and the exterior was perfectly crispy. Neither of us had a single bite of chewy or rubbery meat (rubbery meat being a common experience for me with chicken at restaurants), and we polished off both plates. They said the chicken is fresh, and I'm convinced it is of great quality and definitely not frozen.
We also split an order of fried pickles, which were good, and curly fries, which were excellent.
The pricing looks expensive on paper, but for the portions and quality, it seemed to be a fair price. The lunch specials are less expensive and smaller portions. The staff were knowledgeable and friendly, and everything was clean and neat inside.
I didn't even think about taking pictures, however the photos on their menu are surprisingly accurate depictions (which isn't always the case with menu photos).
Bottom line, this place is fantastic. Loved the food, loved the people. We will be back for sure. If you want flavorful chicken, this place has you covered. Can't wait to try the...
