Spectrum Store — Local services in Farragut

After being on the phone for almost 2 hours dealing with some billing issues, I went to my local store in Farragut to return some equipment and lower my bill. In the past, I have always dealt with Sandy, and she has been amazing every time. Unfortunately for me, Sandy was assisting another customer, which result in Cindy having to get off her duff and come to the front to help me. She seemed friendly at first and pulled up my account to verify the equipment and returned it. She credited the account, and handed me a receipt to sign with another copy for me to keep under it. Then she picked up her pen and tossed it towards me, this was the first negative action with more to follow. She asked if there was anything else I needed, and I proceeded to ask her if she knew of any other promotional discounts beyond what customer service has access to issue. She rudely interrupted me before I could finish asking the question. I tried to be patient and proceeded to my next set of questions regarding the mobile services. Things seemed to be moving to a more positive interaction. I then wanted to verify what services had taxes applied to them and asked her to look at my billing statement from the previous month and gave her the exact date it was generated. She answered my question about the taxed services. So I again asked her to pull the bill up because there was 2 separate amounts charged for sales tax. She got very huffy and did everything but roll her eyes at the idea I wanted her to actually do her job and provide customer service. The situation continued to deteriorate with her rudeness of interruptions and telling me that I did not know what I was talking about, and that I was wrong. I finally threw her business card across the counter at her and told her that I would not need her information for any reason. I then told her that I have never been treated so poorly by Miss Sandy in all the times I had been in that store over the past 4 years, and that I would just make sure to speak with her in the future. I have worked in multiple customer service positions including face to face and over the phone interactions. I am currently on a promotional period and was told when I accepted the spectrum service that I would pay a certain amount every month until my promotional period was over. I agreed on the amount and everything to ran smoothly until the 8th month and my bill went up 3 extra dollars a month all of a sudden. And let's be clear the 3$ a month extra isn't a problem.. the problem is this company won't even stand behind their word and see out the agreement that we had agreed upon. Already going up monthly on my bill and I'm not even out of the promotional period which the promotional period was only supposed to last 1 year. Anyone thinking about giving spectrum their business needs to think twice and be ready for their bill to go up at anytime even when you have agreed on a set amount. Haven't even been a costumer more than a year and they are already going back on their word. And don't even try calling and maybe working something out or getting it changed no one is going to work with you. I will take my business elsewhere before my PROMOTIONAL PERIOD is even up unless something changes. I don't see why a company would do this to a new customer if they are wanting your business for multiple years to come. Sounds like to me the longer you are with this company the more you are going to pay and the guy who signed up yesterday is going to get a better deal.. then I want to make sure that I am receiving exactly what i am paying for (talking about internet speed) and I ask the lady what my internet speed should be and she says 200 mbps and I say ok how do I test the speed.. so she tells me and I told her so when I get home from work I am going test my internet speed and make sure I'm getting 200mbps and the lady then says yes you should ROUGHLY be Receiving 200mbps. So I wonder what would happen if I pay ROUGHLY what they are asking on my bill??? so there you go if that doesn't tell you what you need to know about this company then I don't...

The Internet service is mediocre (it buffers quite a bit even though I have their Elite 500 mps Internet package) and the customer service is atrocious. I moved from Florida to Tennessee and Spectrum promised me the same bundle I had in Florida. I get to Tennessee and they tell me that's impossible when corporate before the move said it would be no problem. After 5-6 hours and numerous, and I mean, numerous phone calls things were put back in order. Then 3 months later I ordered a new phone from them and Fed-Ex doesn't deliver the phone and at the same time Spectrum cancelled my internet supposedly due to "FRAUD" because I didn't answer a phone call that they never made to me. PS. The pricing plan for the new phone mentions nothing about the discounted sales price of the phone. But yet you are required to sign the document stating you agree to the full price, fishy right? Once they re-hooked me back up they JACKED my Internet bill to normal non-bundle prices. As of right now I don't have a new phone and my Internet bill is now double. So much for trying to save some money on getting a phone on sale through Spectrum. Let's not forget that Spectrum delivered my new Internet router and modem to my old Florida address. Nothing but headaches with this company, complete CHAOS. Oh, and the local store in TN can't find my physical address in their computer system but yet there are dozens of customers in my apartment complex using them. I'm not even mentiong half of the stuff I had to go through with this company. Before switching to Spectrum I was with Verizon for over a decade and never had so many problems.
