The service today was by far the worst since we first frequented this restaurant in 2011. The service we received was utterly disgraceful. I do not know whether the color of me and husband skin played a factor or the waitress felt we were not dressed the part to tip her so; therefore, she only provided customer service to the three tables she felt would tip her. We sat waiting for refills while she carried on a conversation with a table that had six to their party. We continue to wait while she took their picture and tell them to say cheese their waitress is the greatest. We still continue to wait as she walked past us to go retrieve two pitcher of sweet and unsweetened tea. She still walked past our booth to refill the booth infront of us cups and carry on another conversation. Then we watched her walk past us to put the pitchers up and come back to the booth behind us, sit down and carry on a full conversatuon with that couple about social media. I then got up to get another waitress to help us as someone asked the rude waitress for service and she blurts out to them she is helping a customer. I guess discussing social media is helping another customer. The three tables she provided service to were of a different race from me and my husband. Then we waited to have the plates cleared from our table that after she finish her conversation with the booth in front of us, she finally stood to go carry on another conversation with the party of six as they were leaving. I had to clear my own table as if I was an employee, when in fact I am actually a veteran retiree where both me and my husband served over 20 years. I finally had enough of the blatant piss poor customer service that I had to speak to the general manager, not the manager but the general manager about her. My recommendation would be since she loves to talk a lot, put her behind the serving line and she can carry on all kinds of conversation while replenishing the pans and carry on conversations with the customers as they fix their plate. Before that waitress judged us, she should have paid attention to her surrounding. When you know better, you do better. But the waitress at Smokey Bones said thank you for the $20.00 tip, and to keep representing piss poor...
Read moreI’ve never been treated nor experienced such ghetto and unprofessionalism in my life by management. I had one big server get in my face like he was going to put his hands on me because I’m upset that this manager Kristina is refusing to give me corporate number because she realizes she lied to me and I confirmed by the waiter that she didn’t see me eating, in fact she said it was too much going on, so this manager Kristina realizes I don’t plan on not coming home and googling corporate number because she lied and then insulted me by saying,” who comes to a Buffet and not eat? “Very ignorant and uncalled to say, she also insinuated all people eat at buffets and all buffets have the same policies and procedures, which is even more ridiculous and rather her trying to listen to resolve this issue , she provoked a situation causing her staff to get involved in a customer dispute like she wasn’t capable of resolving it. She threatened to call the police and I told her I would go sit in the car to charge my phone up to show I paid for a meal I didn’t eat, as I walked towards the door she exclaimed,”I’m not calling the police. So now I’m completely upset because I feel like this so called manager is playing with me. After I started feeling ganged up on by the Jabari and the other stuff members she allowed to get involved, I realized this lady knew she was entirely wrong and wanted me to be provoked so she could have a reason to call the police. God works in mysterious ways bc I couldn’t leave a tip bc my phone was dead and told the lady I was going 1/2 on the tip with I would cash app my 1/2 once I got home, needless to say it was right when I was turning into my neighborhood is when I realized I was overcharged and immediately went back to the store to get a refund for a meal I never ate nor did I know Golden Carrol policy on having to payi $16.+ to attend a social event to support my daughter. at a buffet. Needless to say $10 or more I was going to tip won’t be tipped (and I am particular about leaving tips bc I work in a service industry) and I won’t patronize this Golden Carrol as long as Kristina is working . She eventually gave me a piece of paper with a number written on it, call the number and it’s Skibo Golden...
Read moreHowever, during my last visit, I encountered an unpleasant situation that has left me feeling disheartened. On [Date], I came into your restaurant with the intention of purchasing a meal for a homeless person. I approached the clerk upfront to inquire about the prices and specifically asked for an explanation of the cost.
To my dismay, despite my explicit request, the staff member failed to adequately explain the pricing structure, and as a result, I was shocked to discover that the bill for two to-go plates amounted to a staggering $71. This unexpected and exorbitant cost not only caught me off guard but also goes against the values of inclusivity and community support that I have always associated with Golden Corral.
I understand that prices may vary, and I am willing to support a business that is transparent about its costs. However, in this case, the lack of communication from the staff about the pricing has left me feeling disillusioned. As a customer who has always appreciated the welcoming atmosphere and diverse menu options at Golden Corral, this experience has left a negative impression on me.
I kindly request that you address this matter promptly to ensure that other customers do not face a similar situation. Clear communication regarding pricing is crucial, especially for those, like myself, who wish to contribute to the community by providing meals to those in need.
I hope that Golden Corral takes this feedback seriously and implements measures to improve transparency in communication regarding pricing. I believe in the values that your brand represents and hope that my future experiences at Golden Corral will be more aligned with the positive memories I have had in the past.
Thank you for your attention to this matter, and I look forward to hearing from you...
