Dolce Aroma Coffee Bar — Restaurant in Fayetteville

I am sitting in my car trying out the caramel cold coffee latte. It is not bad, but it's not as good as Starbucks. I give it a 3. The first thing I noticed was the slight coconut flavoring. I'm guessing it came from the powered caramel. How do I know it's powdered...they told me. Starbucks uses dark caramel if you ask, and tastes 100 times better. Why use cheap powdered caramel??!! Will not be getting their coffee lattes anymore. Next, the Chocolate Hazelnut Torte....GOD AWFUL!!! Hard, very hard, the fork would not go into it smoothly and the frosting or mousse whatever it was, was so DRY that it chipped away with my fork. Nothing fresh about this cake. Nothing smooth nor soft about it. And it tasted like fridge. I wasted $12 on a coffee caramel latte that had coconut flavoring in it and a terrible hard torte. Hated it. A chocolate frozen torte that in order to eat it, had to be chipped away without the fork going smoothly through it. Bad torte. Very bad. Now I have to go to Olive Garden to get a descent dessert and Starbucks. I will not be purchasing anything from Dolce Aroma ever again. I...

I’ve been to this hidden gem a handful of times now and every time I’ve received not just delicious drinks and treats, but awesome customer service. I’ve only ordered the spiced chai and cannoli thus far, both of which are delicious. There is a gentleman who works there with longer hair who really values his work - he asked me how I like my drink crafted (more on the sweeter side? More coffee notes?) and made excellent recommendations for next time. Yesterday, my boyfriend and I went in for a spiced chai and a cannoli but the barista Damian was slammed with orders. What he said would take about 15 minutes to have our order ready ended up being more like 45, but we waited patiently with no issues. Still, he came to the table where we were waiting, apologized for the wait, and offered us another cannoli at no charge for the inconvenience. That kind of proactive customer service is what keeps folks coming back, so thank you Damian.

It’s a great little shop with delicious desserts but the first two times I went were a pain. The lady rang me up for everything I ordered and when I got home I realized I was missing like 4 items. It was almost impossible to get a refund. They never processed it and when I called back to follow up, no one had any idea of what I was talking about. I wrote it off as a loss but that was unacceptable business practice. I went again recently and the food was still good and the service was better this time around, no one cheating me out of my money.
