On March 16, 2019, I waited about forty-five minutes, as I watched customers arrive after me and get served. Nevertheless, I paid in full to purchase a tuxedo, tuxedo shirt, and alterations. I was advised that my items would be in the Skibo Rd. store on March 19th, and someone would call me. On the afternoon of the 19th, I called the store and was advised that nothing I ordered had arrived. In fact, the tuxedo hadn't been ordered because there was "so much prom activity". The rep told me that my suit would be ordered from the Hampton store that day and would arrive the next day. Again, the rep said someone would call me. When I hadn't received a call, I called the Hampton store on the 21st to verify if they had shipped my tux to Fayetteville. John verified that he hadn't received my order, but immediately offered to ship the 46L that he had on the floor. I called Skibo Rd to let them know John was shipping the tux and to ask about the shirt. I was asked to stay on the line while they called the Norfolk store to order the correct size.
Today is March 22 and I was just told that the shirt I paid for is not in the store and the alterations have not been made to the tux. Aside from the excellent selection of clothing and shoes, I am extremely disappointed in my first...
Read moreI would give a 5 star since I have been a repeat customer with no issues but the last visit was less than desired. Associate RMintor assisted after some time without being helped. When I inquired about the price of a pair of shoes, he gave me the range of what they might be and I had to actually request what the exact cost was before be proceeded to go check. Who purchases based on a range of cost? Finally, I picked a tie and handkerchief and inquired about the return policy in case it didn’t match my attire and he paused and followed with stating that “starting Jan 1, no returns or return with store credit only.” I was tempted to say forget it but proceeded with purchase anyway. After getting home and finding the color did not quite match, I looked up the return policy on the website and it stated the total opposite of what he said. I was tempted to return just out of frustration of the false information he provided but its not worth my time or energy. As a repeat customer and maybe last visit, please ensure associates provide correct information or at least take the time to check before making up stuff. Walked in and stood near register while cashier completed a transaction (approximately 15-20 minutes). Was never greeted or acknowledged, which could be overlooked since they were helping other customers but would have been nice to at least be acknowledged with a “We will be with you shortly” or just something other than being ignored. When cashier finished transaction, we still were not acknowledged so I stepped closer to the counter. The cashier STILL did not greet or speak to us. She simply looked at us like “what do you want”. I said we were interested in renting a suit or tux and she responded with, “when, when you need it”. I explained it was needed for Saturday and she immediately said “untuh no, no way”.
