I booked the birthday party package at Escapology Fayetteville for my son’s 12th birthday, and while we had a great time completing the Budapest escape game, the experience didn’t quite match what was advertised when it came to the party package which is why I am only giving 4 stars.

The facility itself is really nice, clean, and the staff is very friendly, which I appreciated. However, the party package said it included a private party host, but we never had anyone in the party room with us to assist. We were brought to the room when we arrived, but after that, no one ever came in to check on us or host the party. They only came to let us know when it was our time to go into the escape room, and that was it.

The package also stated we could use the fridge for our cake and drinks, but when I asked about putting our drinks in, I was told it depended on if there was room. While it worked out, it didn’t feel like a guaranteed part of the package, which was a little frustrating.

Additionally, our game was scheduled for 6 PM, and at that time, no one came to the party room to get us. After waiting a bit, I went to the front desk to ask, and they told me someone would be there shortly. With a room full of preteens, I was expecting a bit more structure.

& we didn’t get a reminder or any assistance with getting our team photo at the end, which was disappointing. I was so busy and distracted with the kids that I didn’t even think about it until later when I received an email thanking us for coming. The email had a link saying “Click for Team Photo,” but when I clicked it, it just led to a picture of their “Thanks for Visiting” card that asks for a review. That was frustrating because the team photo is such a fun way to end the escape room experience especially when it was for a birthday party.

Overall, the kids had a blast, and the escape game itself was a lot of fun! However, based on my experience, I feel like we would have had the same level of service if I had just booked individual tickets instead of the party package other than having the party room available to us. I was expecting a more guided experience based on the online description, but that wasn’t the case.

If you’re booking for a birthday, just be aware that the party package may not include all the assistance you expect. The escape room itself is FANTASTIC, but the extra service for the party didn’t quite meet expectations.

My family (Husband and 13 year old son) just finished the "Scooby Doo" room and we had an absolutely fantastic time! From start to finish, the experience was top-notch and left us buzzing with excitement. First off, the puzzles were incredibly clever and diverse. They weren't just a series of "find the key" challenges; instead, they incorporated a wonderful variety of logic, observation, and even some unique physical interactions. Each solution felt genuinely satisfying, and the "aha!" moments were plentiful. The difficulty was perfectly balanced – challenging enough to make us think and collaborate, but never frustratingly impossible. The themng and immersion were outstanding. As soon as we stepped into the room, we were transported! The set design was incredibly detailed and atmospheric, with props and decorations that truly brought the "Scooby Doo" room to life. The sound effects and lighting added another layer of depth, making us feel completely immersed in the story. It's clear a lot of thought and effort went into creating such a convincing environment. Our Game Master, Emily was phenomenal. She was enthusiastic, gave just the right amount of helpful nudges when we needed them (without giving away too much!), and truly enhanced our overall experience. What a wonderful first time experience. I had an opportunity to visit this facility as a guest for a team building exercise. I didn't know what to expect, exactly as it was my first time, so I was skeptical and uncertain. Upon arriving into the facility I noticed immediately the cleanliness and mild atmosphere. Our time slot was on a weekday at noon and they were not busy. We were greeted by our Host & Game Master Shabriel, wow, just, wow. She is wonderful. Shabriel is very knowledgeable and she provided us a clear rundown of the rules and expectations of our adventure. Our team managed to complete the challenge, it was intense, adventurous, frustrating, exciting, nerve racking, thrilling and a few more emotional adjectives. At the conclusion, Shabriel brought us water and an escapology bracelet, we even took a group photo. We enjoyed the visit so much, tickets were purchased for a return visit.
