High Cotton Consigment — Local services in Fayetteville

As a customer/ consigner for the past year and half I have consigned my items here and have had success in selling them. I have always been a good customer as well. However today I requested an item to withdraw from consignment and the owner Allison stated I had to keep it on consignment or she was going to close my account. She then told her staff go ahead and get the item out and close my account making the decision for me. I asked If she does this with everyone and she said absolutely. I don’t know if this is the truth or not but I don’t think that’s very fair nor professional aside from the way she talked to me in front of her staff. Over a year ago I had came in and brought some items and the same individual Requested for me to place the items on hangers when I had my arm in the sling and just had surgery less than three weeks out when I wasn’t supposed to do anything with that arm. Clearly she seen the brace but didn’t care never offered assistance or anything. I just thought maybe she was having a bad day. After today it is obviously her personality. She is very arrogant and should not be running a business When she talks to people that way. You could tell her staff tolerates her but the public should not be disrespected. I took nice items to consign to save money to travel out of state for the holidays bc of no family instate. There is a way of saying something to someone to making a point. When you go beyond that the way it was today is just taking things too far. She lost a good person that brought her business and referred people. And the sad thing is it’s 2 days till Christmas and she doesn’t even care…Totally...

I totally agree with all the people who said this "snooty" lady. My first visit there and this woman followed my daughter and i around the store the entire time. And obviously can't stand little children in her place of business. I have never been so insulted as she made our little girl cry by snaping at her to not touch her shoes and believe it when i say, everyone we spoke to about this place said that they do not go into her store because she is so rude. Good luck to your business, with a 3.2 star rating? The only reason you have that is whoever you ask to give you a good review. One lady told me she went to your store and said for someone who thought she carries only the best, she saw a lot of junk. Who do you think you are? I have never been treated so horrible. I found this place by accident while going to Harris Teeter. I found some really good deals while in there and have been back numerous times since. I have gotten some top brand clothing as well as handbags, shoes and jewelry. Some people say it is overpriced but in my experience you have to know your brands and how much things cost then you can weigh whether it is too pricey if it is don't buy it. The only complaint that I would have is I wish they would offer more plus size clothing as I am a larger gal. I know when I call and ask they say they have it but I am thinking they think a size 14 is plus which it is but I am talking 2x, 3x, 22/24w etc. Other than that the gals who work there have always been pleasant and not rude to me, they are very helpful and knowledgeable. Maybe they can expand one day and open a High Cotton Consignment 2 and sell only plus sizes 14 and up that would be...
