Listen, when I tell you that the food I ordered was AH-MAZING, bayyyy bay it was delicious! I hadn’t been to bento box in years. I actually forget that they are over there. My husband and I were hungry and was leaving the Harris Teeter parking lot, so I said let’s go to Bento box. When we walked in the atmosphere was quiet and there were plenty of tables available to sit at. Although we got our food to go. So I got the salmon bento box with mixed veggies, house salad w/ ginger dressing, and brown rice! I wanted fried rice, but bc my husband was recently diagnosed as a diabetic I have been trying my best to change my diet with him in order to help him make better food choices. I wasn’t crazy about the brown rice bc I am used to white or fried rice, but the salmon was cooked to perfection! I don’t like my salmon too soft. I like it to be cooked well. It was cooked to perfection! The flavor was delicious! The sauce was delicious! Bc we were trying to save a little money after spending a ridiculous amount of money at the Ft Bragg fair at first my husband and I only ordered a meal for each of us and said we would share with our son. However, when the meal came out and we saw how good it looked, both of us looked at each other like I don’t want to share this with NOBODY! LOL! So we ordered a third meal for our son. My son wasn’t crazy about it, but don’t go by him bc he doesn’t like Asian food. However, out of everything in that box he ate every bit of that salmon and the salad so that ought to tell you something! LOL! He is 18 years old and very finicky btw! The salad was super fresh btw!

Read moreI've visited this restaurant in the past several times. Always had a great experience but this previous time... I normally do NOT review places I have NOTHING good so say about. Golden rule: If you have nothing nice to say, say nothing at all. Well I feel obligated to say something since I so highly recommended this location/establishment on my social media outlets. Im not sure if the establishment changed owners/management or not but the vibe is off. We arrived 30 minutes before open hrs and WAITED! That's how great of an experience and impression this place left on me. Store opened at 11am we walked in at 11:02 for dine in. We seated ourselves and was given a menu by cashier (she mumbled about placing order) and then she scurried off. We waited and waited looked over the menu and after 15 with no one insight at the front I decided to call the restaurant from my seat! She answered and walked out of the back to the register. I informed her we were still in the dining room which she acted as though she did not see us (I raised my hand and waved) as she proceeded to hung up the phone. She then comes to the table and says "...so we don't serve at the tables during the morning. You will need to order and pay at the counter...I told you that earlier..." Remember I said she mumbled something I assume that's what she said. We were the only couple in there! And we'd came on previous visits at noon to eat no problem. I’ve been a customer of this restaurant years since they opened and usually order a few times a quarter. I’ve always enjoyed the food, but this recent experience has changed that.
I placed a pickup order and ended up waiting over an hour and a half past the scheduled time. There was no proactive communication from the restaurant. I called multiple times trying to get an update and received no answers or returned calls. Despite trying to remain patient and respectful, I became more concerned as time passed.
When I finally got through and spoke with two different staff members, both gave me the same vague and unhelpful response — they claimed the order had already been picked up and the driver had left. They said they didn’t know anything else and couldn’t provide further details.
Eventually, I was able to contact the delivery driver directly. To my surprise, she told me that she had not even received the food yet from the restaurant. This was shocking — not only was the restaurant unresponsive and disorganized, but it now appeared that they had also given false information about the order status.
This kind of behavior — avoiding responsibility, failing to communicate, and misleading customers — is incredibly unprofessional and frankly dishonorable. I’ve tried to be understanding, but this experience has left me extremely disappointed.
