Tealicious is fine if you're in the mood for a sweet, overpriced, liquid treat. Having visited Tealicious three times during its opening week (when they offered a BOGO deal), I can say the space is cute and clean, the employees are friendly, and service is relatively fast. I found it odd that the shop only offers three of their 18 most appetizing, "special" drinks each day (and none on Mondays). Only offering certain drinks one day a week is annoying to customers and potentially detrimental to the shop. The remaining drinks available on their regular menu seem plain/boring in comparison.
As for the drinks themselves, the flavors of the syrups/powders tasted a little too obviously processed/artificial. Also perplexing to me: for the "matcha strawberry jam fresh milk" drink, I observed the staff pour a full cup of heavy whipping cream straight from the carton. If they would add non-dairy milks to the menu, I would probably request that simply to avoid 1000 calories.
Having lived in New York, where there are boba shops on every corner, my expectations are probably higher than what they should be for Fayetteville... But I think since Kung Fu Tea opened here, it's difficult not to compare it to the "local" shops, of which more and more are opening, including another new shop just across the street from Tealicious... In NYC, Kung Fu is considered mediocre, but as a franchise, they've clearly recipe-tested each of their many options to an acceptable level of "perfection". Tealicious has not yet reached that level, though I'm hopeful they...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI have been waiting for this location to open. I have been hearing about it for months from the lovely Mimi. I have been going to her nail salon for the last 4 years ever since I moved to NC. Anyways, she mentioned she was opening up the Boba Tea shop. I had mentioned several times that I only drink water, yes that includes NO coffee, sodas or alcohol. But I would support her anyway I could. Fast forward to the other day (Friday before their soft opening on the 26) Thuy who I absolutely adore was saying that she would make me a tea. I said Iād give it a try. Boy was I glad she gave me one! I got a cherry tea with tapioca boba and it was SO good! She also gave me a Vietnamese coffee for my husband. I brought it home and he said it was SO good! Of course I had said I would support so I went back for the soft opening and got the same thing! I have NEVER had a boba tea before but it was so tasty. What they have done with the building to transform the inside is just awesome. Itās such a friendly atmosphere. I am thrilled for Mimi and her new adventure! I am looking forward to taking my niece who is a boba tea fan to the location....
Ā Ā Ā Read moreStopped in to grab two milk teas today and left severely disappointed. First disappointment came from the lack of dairy, free additives, such as oat or almond milk. I canāt just trust a non-dairy powder, not knowing what is in it. Second disappointment came from the extremely rude older man who I assume is the manager or owner. I came in and placed my order while the young lady was making my second drink. Another customer came in on the phone and wanted to combine all of her stamp cards so that she could get a free drink which is understandable but the man started fussing at the employee to stop making my drink, and to make hers faster because she stated that she needed to get back to work. I wonāt be returning here and this place wonāt last too long especially with all of the other boba places opening in the area. This was a very...
