I have been shopping at Lidl's for some time now, so I decided to do a review. The key to shopping anywhere is knowing what to expect. Because of this, so far, I've always had good shopping experiences.
I appreciate the paper towels and sanitation supplies in the season of covid-19. On most of my visits they have been stocked. A few times the paper towel was out but that does not diminish my shopping experience.
The store is organized and clean and things are easy to find. The staff has been courteous helpful and friendly and they are always busy.
The key element is the low prices. I have adapted my taste buds to some of their brands, so depending on what it is the national brand is not that important to me, especially when comparing their price. If you see something you want you better grab it because it's not guaranteed to be there the next time.
Over the past few weeks I have noticed some of the prices have increased, I was somewhat disappointed but expected. Regardless of some price increases the bargains are out of this world.
The products are numerous, they have gluten-free products, keto, paleo, vegan, plus more, there's something for all dietary needs.
I utilize the Lidil's app, which offers digital coupons and perks for spending "x" amount of dollars or making so many purchases to receive discounts or percentage off of products. It seems to be a trap for me because I'm in the store multiple times a week. Everyone loves a deal!
Don't forget to bring your reusable shopping bags, however if you don't have them, you can purchase some there for a reasonable price.
They have some interesting finds. I've had a chance to try new products or just experiment and expand my taste buds.
I forgot to mention the bakery, oh my, as soon as you walk in the door, you are met with dinner delightful smells. The cookies are awesome and the croissants are delightful.
I love the self-checkout, however, if there's something marked down and associate will have to assist you with the correct pricing. Normally the process is pretty quick, but be patient.
If you have considered adding this chain to your shopping list but put it off, I recommend you give it a chance. Go on a day that you can explore each isle. You are likely to...
Read moreI have never been to Lidl but I was curious about the store because I had heard such good things. The organization and presentation in the store was up to par. I went in looking for a specific item for my husband and a nice associate helped me, I can't remember her name but she was short with blonde hair and had a really upbeat attitude which was a pleasant surprise in this day and age. While shopping though I heard a lady who was (I believe) in a management position berate the same associate that had helped me earlier, and when the manager walked away I heard her laughing and making fun of the associate to another person in management. They wear name tags but I couldnt quite read it because she was kind of far away, but the manager who freaked out on the associate had short black hair and glasses. I have worked since I was 15 and trust me when I say there was some workplace bullying vibes going on. The store might be nice, but it seems like that particular manager there might be on a power trip or something. I feel for the associate and the other people working there that have to deal with that kind of attitude. That kind of stuff is a cancer in the workplace and will spread if you don't cut it out. Just my two cents. This was my first time visiting the store but I definitely am not in a hurry to go back after seeing how Associates are treated there by that particular manager. Apparently this is a known problem as per the indeed reviews I had seen online before I...
Read moreThe store looked clean and the prices are pretty good. They have some products that other grocery stores dont have which is nice. For those who want to go here they may not have your usual brand to buy. The quality of their meats were in excellent shape. I took my time checking random dates and there wasnt anything out of date in the store overall that i could find. The store was well stocked. Plus their vegetables were a nice selection to pick from as well as this location's zucchini were the largest i could find within 3 other stores nearby for this season. The cheese selection was only okay for me due to another location id prefer to get cheese from but if you're not used to more options then their cheese is for you. Their bakery products are good. They do have alcohol here and their selection is decent but small. This store I'd rate as kid friendly and i read good reviews on their diapers/wipes for a low price for those with kids. The shelves aren't high neither so no unnecessary reaching. Check out they had the options of cashier or self checkout. ••••••you bag your own bags.•••••• 10/10 i was happy to bag my own bags. Plus im happy i brought my reusable bag since their's was a tad smaller. Their insulated bags i really liked though. The cashier was friendly so 10/10 nice hiring job management. Tip: For a large haul if you need to keep buying bags instead prepare by putting a laundry basket in your car to...
