Be very wary of any transactions at this store: On 26 Feb I took in 7 bins of books and comics which I have been collecting since high school 36+ years
2 Mar go back to pick up my offer payout
I was asked if I would take 100$ bills and I said yes
I 100% believe I was slapped a fake movie prop 100$ bill and the employee pocket my real 100$ bill out of my offer, I mean where else would you come across that kind of item? I shoulda checked it but as soon as I saw the top bill, I place the money in my wallet and forgot about it until Friday.
Noticed on Friday 7 Mar when I tried to deposit money in my bank's ATM
That's when I took the bill and went back to speak to the manager CJ. He said we check all bills during all transactions - that's weird, the Sunday I picked up my offer the employee that paid me did everything autonomously.
CJ also took down my cell number and said he had to contact his general manager and get back to me. This was Friday 7 Mar 24. He said he would do some investigating and call me back on Saturday 8 Mar 25. Then he said we'll make it right with either money or something. Here it is 17 Mar a week later and still no call. I stopped by the store to ask and it was like deer in the headlights.
I gave them a chance to make it right. It's been over a month. I stopped back by the store at least 3 times to speak with CJ and he's never there! I Go figure! I've left my number again and again for him to call me and I get nothing.
Don't go to this store, it's a scam and I hope it closes! One bad apple spoils the whole dam bunch.
If you had this happened to you, please post! I want to expose this injustice. It probably happened to more people the just me!
I should've have checked the bills and called the police. If I could give a negative star...
Read moreI could easily describe this place as a pop culture paradise. I would prefer to rate it a 3.5 stars but the star rating system isn't perfectđ
This is one of the best places to get your used games, gaming accessories, anime, manga, movies, music, comics , and books. They also have a great selection of instruments, toys, as well as clothing geared toward those criteria. Also not everything you might find is used, but that isn't a complaint.
Do you want a specific classic movie/film for DVD or Blu-ray? They probably have it.
Looking for older games? They got them.
How about a specific Lego piece for one of your builds? You're in luck because they got those too.
This is easily a great stop for both adults and children of all ages.
The parking is spacious and plentiful. I sometimes enjoy getting a spot as close to the entrance as possible when going to a store, so a lot of times I can get that here. Every time I have been here it hasn't been extremely busy but it also isn't a đť town either. It also has a calm and relaxing atmosphere for a building it's size.
The staff is friendly and helpful but beware that they might want to get you to sign up for free trial magazine subscriptions when you go to check out. I know that is their job but I hate that they are subjected to have to do that. Even though there might be deals to be found here, not all of the prices are "used" and might actually be more than what you will find elsewhere so be ready to price shop if you're worried about that.
This is the only place I have found (so far) to fill that Edward McKay's sized hole in my â¤ď¸, so if anything I have written might be of interest to you I recommend giving 2nd & Charles a shot and maybe some of your...
Read moreToday was my first and last time visiting 2nd & Charles. To start I was greeted at all until I started asking a customer where I was supposed to go. The guy behind the counter seemed very disinterested in me being there. The young lady that helped me seemed very irritated and then two more people came up who proceeded to stare at me and mumble under their breath. Then the lady that was staring at me signals the young man to take over. I didnât get good vibes from the moment I walked in but that just made the experience more irritating. Itâs like they made it a point to make me feel like I shouldnât be there. The young man proceeds to enter my information in two different computers which is not a problem. He tells me Iâll receive a text after he looks at the books okay but the girl said twice prior to walking off that I could stand right there because it wouldnât take long at all. She even said it to the guy but the story changed once she walked off. So I walk around looking at books about 20-25 minutes later I received a text. I get to the counter and the young lady is there. She points to something in the computer and he signals her to go elsewhere and then tells me that canât make me an offer. Cool! He walks off and she comes back with a watered down monotones apology and says you can put your books in the give away bin. I felt racially profiled and I will be contacting corporate office. I may be black but my money green and I deserved better customer service than I received today!!!...
