Rainbow Shops — Local services in Ferguson

So me and my daughter and her grandpa came in to get to some winter boots for my daughter and some outfits, at this time, I think we were the only one in the store. Everything went completely normal, When we got to the checkout, I noticed the lady was going really slow and double and triple checking that she rang everything in. She even went back and matched every price tag on her screen to what was on the clothes because I guess she said she lost track of what she was scanning. No problem. We finish and pay for our items and turn to walk out of the store. The manager who had literally seconds ago, just checked us out for over $100 worth of clothes yells out “ma’am” as she’s making her way down the aisle towards us walking out (I’m thinking I forgot my phone at the counter or something) she Looks dead in the face and says I’m not trying to be funny, but can I look in your purse? Honestly, I was extremely taken back. I did comply and open my purse. She moved some of my stuff around and just said OK. We had only been in the store maybe 20 minutes and bought pretty much everything we picked up. Looking back on the situation, I think maybe she was trying to prolong our check out process because she wanted to accuse me of theft. After her false accusation, I still received no apology. And was pretty much told I was free to go. I literally love this store and bring my daughter here all the time, but I didn’t think employees could just stop you and ask to look through your things without any evidence of you stealing. West Florissant Store in Ferguson Mo forgot. Take security Tag off so took in Manager on duty said was not there item so i came back With item with receipt said to her now can you take it off . and yes I was a lil upset felt I was being called a liar the Correct thing for her to do was to apologize and take it off instead she say should would not and Call the police on me for not leaving until it was taken Off my piece of clothing that I Purchase.
