WE BREAK WE DO NOT FIX... EVER. If you have 10 hours of your life, lots of gas money to take trips to the store, and a computer you want broken this is the shop for you! If I could give negative stars I would. Terrible service. Avoid this company. I took my MacBook Pro in to get a new battery installed and they have had it for about four months now and I still do not have the computer back. We have gotten conflicting answers as to what they did to damage the computer. We were told they fried the power management chip, then it was just a bad battery, then they broke the key board and track pad. When we did receive the computer back the battery was loose and you could hear it bounce around inside the computer. Next, all of the employees left. Which was possibly a good thing because the area manager, Mike, will not return my phone calls, text messages, voicemails, etc. Today when I took the computer back because it still did not turn on Alex the manager assured me they had reset it and it was "better than when I brought it in" and sent me on my way. When I got home the computer wouldn't turn on again. I think it is likely I will end up in small claims court with this company.
Response to owner and update: The overall replacement took something like 6 months, the workers are rude and said the problem was make-believe. They eventually saw the problem (all it took was leaving the computer on the home screen for 30 min and it would shut off) they agreed they couldn't fix it and offered a used replacement. When offered the replacement, I agreed but asked that they provide the same specs. and condition as the one they had broken, Craig the owner said, "Do not insult my intelligence." When I came in the first time to get the replacement, they tried to give me a computer with half the memory and less ram. I did not accept that, so they ordered another replacement with the correct specs. but the foot on the back of the computer was broken off, and the rubber seal around the screen was worn off. I was exhausted from dealing with them, so I took the computer...
Read moreI went in with a laptop that had a common issue of the power button not working. They looked at it and let me know they had to send it to someone else that helps with their repairs to be soldered, that was fine with me. They told me I would have my laptop in 6-10 days max. Fast forward 7 days, I go in to pick up my ârepairedâ laptop, left thinking I wouldnât need to check it. When I made it home, I noticed there was a 1-inch gap of damage on my laptop, it looked like it had been pried wide open?????? Even furthermore, my power button still didnât work and my laptop wouldnât turn on!!!? I brought it back in. Long story short, nobody would take blame for the damage to my laptop so they gave me a $50 refund on a ~$160 repair. He said he would âfinagleâ with the power button to try to âloosen it upâ so it would work every time rather than once every 10 attempts. Called me back and said it was working better. When I went in, I still could not personally get the power button to work and it clearly wasnât fixed. At this point, I wanted to just take it somewhere else to be repaired but they wouldnât refund me. Sooooo, he sent it back to the same person who was supposed to fix it the first time, he repaired it correctly. The likelihood is that it was fixed the first time, but broke again when the damage happened (still nobody taking blame). They ghetto-fixed my laptop, but there is still obvious and visible damage where it was pried open. I ended up getting my laptop back, with the power button fixed, but in worse cosmetic shape than before, nearly 2 MONTHS later.
Nathan was who helped me from UBreakIFix and he was honestly very kind and helpful during the whole process. He made frequent phone calls to let me know what was going on and the conversations that took place between him and the out-sourced repair person. It was just an unfortunate situation that took longer than necessary and it really sucks that my laptop looks all...
Read moreDon't bother with this company. I've used a different ubreakifix and have had excellent service. This place has zero customer service.
Took my Google pixel 6 pro in after google customer service said it needed fixed and I could send it in and get my phone back in 5 to 7 days or take it to a repair place like this one. Went there and the guy said yeah it's probably a battery issue. We will have to order one. It will take 3 to 5 days. Took my name and number on a post it note and said they would call when the battery was in. I assume the post it went right in the trash as I got no call. My fiance dropped the phone off 8 days later to have fixed and was told it would be ready in an hour or so. So she waited over her lunch break. Not ready. Next day she went back after no calls from them and they said again it would be ready soon if she wanted to wait. It was not. They claimed their testing was down or having issues. A couple days later she stopped by to check on it and they said they only have one person quified to fix them and he wasn't in yet.
I showed up today well over a week since they had the phone and 2 weeks without the phone. and the guy handed me the phone no questions or papers to sign. I just feel like communication from them would go a long way. I won't use this particular...
