Finery Bridal Boutique — Local services in Fishers

Bride here to clarify for Joanie’s response- She wasn't the bride..however, she was in my party & was sitting right next to me to witness/experience how rude you were on the phone.

First off- you cancelled my appt last minute..(Morning of) which was very stressful considering you were well aware that I was coming from California, & had been planning this for 3mo! Not to mention some of the ladies in my party were also coming from out of state to be there.. We discussed all of this. So there was no way for me to reschedule or find another bridal shop on such a short notice.

I immediately called you when I saw the appt was cancelled to let you know that I was in fact still coming.. (Which was a 4hr advance notice per your policy). Instead of simply thanking me for calling to confirm.. You instead decided to argue that I didn’t respond to the email confirmation. If I didn’t reply Y or N then chances are I didn’t see the email all together. So instead of assuming I'm not coming anymore, wouldn’t a simple follow up via call/txt be the considerate way to proceed since I had to fly in for this appt.

Now to address my party size- you NEVER mentioned “city limits/codes” as the reason for the 8 person MAX (btw my 9yo niece was the only extra person, no one else, & we didn’t have any guys coming either, so I’m not sure why that was mentioned). & You told me on our phone call that you sent your employee home early which would mean that there wouldn’t be any other brides there.. So the overlap issue was also not true. The ONLY reason you gave me on the phone was due to not having enough seating, which I said was fine and that she could stand. Then your response to that was “no they can go hang out at Target next door & kill time there until your finished”. My sister and her daughter didn’t drive 9hrs from Georgia to see me try my wedding dress on just to find out she would have to wait at Target and miss the whole appt. That’s ridiculous!

You also told me on the phone that you don’t like bigger parties coming in because you feel like it’s a waste of time and that they use it as a time to “window shop” this is very unprofessional. But- GUESS WHAT!? This big party right here did make a decision today!! Luckily Nancy’s Bridal Shop GLADLY accommodated our party of 8 + 1 child without any issue and she even went as far as offering us Mimosas while I shopped. Then when I picked my dress she had a fun confetti popper and made it very special for me! So for any future brides out there reading this- PLEASE don’t waste your time with the very rude shop owner of Finery Bridal Boutique- instead let Nancy take care of you, she was amazing and everyone in my party had a great experience there! And I said YES to the dress!

*UPDATE to Respond to Owner- AGAIN- I'm not sure where the miscommunication occurred during our conversation to where you thought I had 10 people coming..? I even re-iterated during our last phone conversation (which was the day of our appt) to clarify that I had the original 8 that you were aware of and agreed to and then my sister (which was already counted in the party of 8) surprised me & brought her 10yo daughter since they were coming from GA & I hadn't seen them in 5yrs. Either way I assumed it would be fine As stated earlier the ONLY reason you gave me was due to limited seating. You never mentioned a Policy due to "city codes" or other bridal parties not having space.. & even if that was the case... I was the ONLY wedding party coming in so there wouldn't be any overlap issues with other brides. I'm not sure why that is the reason you're using now. On the phone you told me that you sent your employee home for the day and that no one was there.. & that you would personally have to come in to take my appt. Which is why I offered to move my appt up earlier to better accommodate you (Never did I ask to push my appt back to a later time). Also, I NEVER had an issue finding another shop with my party size, you were the only one that made it an issue! I'm not sure why you're saying that....

Finery is a hidden gem in the Central Indiana area. I have such a hard time finding dresses and knew wedding dress shopping would overwhelm me. I went to a few higher end places in the Indianapolis area and had no luck. A lot of the places wanted to pick for me and I never got to try on something I loved. I tried Finery out and when I arrived, was greeted by two lovely ladies (Shawn and Nadya). They took the time to listen to what I was looking for, what I didn’t like, and even talked through some of the unknowns. They let me and my bridesmaids and mom look through the dress selection and grab some to try on. They also grabbed a few they wanted me to try based on the initial consult. I immediately found a few I liked, and one I loved. I wanted to sleep on the decision and return the next day to try on again. When I did, they had a new dress out that my mom wanted me to try on. I didn’t like the sleeves on it but that wasn’t a problem as Shawn explained how she could do anything I wanted to the dress to make it what I wanted. She ended up taking lace from the puffy sleeves and making me straps to make my dream wedding dress. I was so happy with the outcome. Shawn did a wonderful job turning the dress into my dream dress with her vision of taking the lace from the sleeves to create straps that gave me some additional support. I can’t believe how easy working with them was. If I could do it all over again, I would make Finery...

Hello, I have to tell every woman about my experience with Finery Bridal Boutique. If God did it for me, he sure can do it for you. I was panicking looking for my wedding dress. This is my first time getting married. I was running out of time to get a wedding dress. I decided to seek God's help so I started praying on Wednesday asking God to help me find my perfect wedding dress. On Friday I was driving and saw a place named Finery Bridal Boutique. I called my friend to see if she knew any places to go to get a wedding dress. She texted me the same place I just drove by Finery Bridal Boutique. I decided to set an appointment on Saturday the same week. Both ladies had warm welcome and hospitality for me and my guess. I had not experienced this kind of hospitality looking for wedding dresses. This was the 3rd place I went before I gave up. I was overwhelmed by the generosity Shawn and her niece showed. I felt like I was royalty. I tried on 3 dresses and the 3rd dress was a perfect match for me and unbeatable price. I couldn't believe I found the wedding dress I was looking for. The ladies were gentle and took their time to my needs. I thank God for sending me to the finery Bridal Boutique. I never knew how you were supposed to get treated when looking for that special wedding dress. It is amazing how God sent me to the right place at the right time. I am truly grateful and...
