I recently stayed at the Tapestry Nickel Plate Hilton in Fishers, IN, and I can’t say enough good things about my experience. I had called the night before to request an early check-in, and Zahara was an absolute gem. She immediately took care of the request and even made a note for housekeeping to help make it happen.
Unfortunately, when I arrived, the room was still occupied from the night before, so they weren’t able to accommodate the early check-in. But Zahara and her teammate went above and beyond trying to find a solution. They stored my luggage and showed me to a quiet spot where I could take an important call—and I mean, they really took care of me. The restaurant staff brought over water, checked in on me, and made sure I had everything I needed while I worked.
I had to head out for another meeting, and when I came back, the front desk had dinner recs ready to go and—best news—my room was ready. It was worth the wait. I had a gorgeous corner king room with a sitting area, a large walk-in shower, and a soaking tub. To top it off, the staff left me a little surprise: a bath bomb and salt scrub. Pure heaven.
That night, I opted to stay in and eat at their restaurant. The brussels sprouts and corned beef grilled cheese were next-level—honestly, the portions were huge, definitely sharable. The bartender crafted one of the best Old Fashioneds I’ve had in a while and even suggested two bourbons to try once I’m back home. Super knowledgeable and friendly.
The bed was insanely comfortable, the pillows were squishy and perfect, and I slept like a rock. When I was checking out to catch my Uber, one of the cleaning staff stopped me to apologize again for the early check-in delay, asked how I liked the bath bomb, and wished me safe travels. It was such a thoughtful gesture and really wrapped the whole experience up beautifully.
10/10—highly recommend. I’ll...
Read moreIt's sort of puzzling internally to me to see how any human being with any sort of cognizance can rate this hotel, its staff and its amenities as anything other than world class and 5 star. MY colleague and I had the extremely good fortune of staying here on business and were excited about the experience leading up to the stay. To say we were floored by the professionalism, vibe and intensely hospitable care we received during our stay is a grave understatement. Jamal - I am not sure how to even put into words how incredible this fella is but I'll give it a whirl . . . I was in a predicament upon check in where a dead phone and an Uber driver looking for a Venmo payment (long story) were plaguing my check in experience and within seconds Jamal had my phone charging at the front desk and I was able to get the driver his money and out of the picture. After that and after dropping my bags off in the spectacularly appointed and furnished room I was personally escorted out of the hotel and pointed in the direction of the restaurant I was supposed to meet my friend at by Jamal with expert care and the most cordial of send offs. Upon my return I was greeted and welcomed by both Stephen Outlaw and Jamal again and their meticulous care and hospitality aided in the closing of the first night's stay at this gem. The next day we got to speak a little more with each of these gentlemen and in all my travels I have never been more impressed with the genuine and positively unrelenting care and courtesy they treated my friend and I with. It was simply amazing. If I am ever again in Indianapolis there is zero chance I stay anywhere besides this hotel and the staff and hospitality are the sole reason. I will be back and am looking...
Read moreI have stayed at the Hotel Nickel Plate multiple times now, and each visit has been seamless. The hotel still feels brand new, and it has been designed with great detail. I really appreciate the thought put into highlighting the history of the area in which it is located. There are custom graphics, art, etc. that have been created to decorate the hotel. It really makes this hotel stand out from the many soulless cookie-cutter hotels in the area. The service has always been incredibly accommodating for all my needs. I appreciate that there is a large, free parking garage at the hotel where you can always find a good spot. Fishers has many conveniences that make for a comfortable stay, and this hotel is located in close proximity to everything you may need during your stay. The rooms are clean, spacious, and very comfortable, with a sleeper sofa in addition to the cozy beds. The rooms are quiet and well insulated from outside noises and sounds between rooms. I appreciate the hard-surface floors in each room, as it inspires confidence that the floors are clean. One complaint I have is that the water in the showers and sinks is very slimy. I’ve noticed this with other hotels in the area, so it may be a universal issue. The water makes it difficult to feel clean and leaves a slick residue on your skin. This is a consideration after showering as the tile floor in the bathrooms is very slippery. I almost fell several times because of this residue. Additionally, I definitely recommend requesting a room away from the elevator. The hotel plays music in the elevator areas, which can be heard from inside rooms close to the elevator. Other than that, the Hotel Nickel Plate is a fantastic...
