This review did not start out as 4 stars. It would have been negative 4 stars. The security systems long range radio was not working and going off at 1:30 am 4 am and other times. I would get up and reset it and it stopped alarming. The most alarming part was that Per Mar did record this equipment failure and never called after all of the alarms. They did not care about the security fault at all. On 8/11/18, it did happened again 1:53 pm.. This time I called. 2:14 pm I was told a technician who would contact me. He did at 3:40 pm, and said that he could do nothing for me, but the dispatcher would call Monday to schedule service. Longer wait for security service. They felt that was fine. On 8/15/18, at 4:32 pm, I received a phone call from dispatch at my home phone answering machine. I gave them home and cell phone numbers. They close at 5 pm. Most of us work until 5 pm and get home later. On 8/16/18 I called them and spoke to 'Sylvia, explained the problem, how long it was going on, I wanted to schedule and did, and that the manager would call me. Well that did not happen. So now they know what the problem is, have a time to fix it, and know on their end what my system components are. On 8/24/18, 10:00 am, Tony shows up, examines the problem and states he does not have the equipment on his truck. Really, they know the parts in my system and the problem. Do they come out to not fix the problem like the technician on call. He goes back to the office to see if they have the equipment. Now I get another call by Sylvia who tells me the equipment is not there and they have to order it. She assures me this is not her fault. Does she work for this group? It is all their faults. I again ask to speak to the manager. She is not certain that this will happen, but offers to try to connect. I explain the situation to the manager that they care not for my security and I cannot believe they were not ready to fix this problem. He understands completely after my explanation. He will try to get the equipment I need from Madison. Next call, the Madison technician will come with the equipment, meet Tony at the house and my problem will be fixed. Brett from Madison came at 12:30 pm and fixed my problem by 4:30 pm. No, that Tony technician never showed up. I don't think he ever wanted to fix the problem. The service that Brett gave was 4 stars. The rest is negative 4...
Read moreAlarm has gone on six or seven times in the middle of the night with various sensors. No real explanation has been given. Their solution from headquarters in Iowa is to call local law enforcement when the alarm goes off. Seems like they should have sensors that don't cause the alarm to go on unless someone has broken into the house.
Your reply is a bit disingenuous in that I have not been in contact with the local manager, only a technician who came to the house and could not rectify the situation. But he said he would pass along what we discussed with his managers and they collectively would come up with a solution and someone would get back to me. No...
Read moreOur multi-family and commercial property experience with this company and the associated company, Midwest Alarm, includes over-charging, over-selling, fixes that result in more problems and more expenses, abysmal customer service from management-level employees, and lack of responsiveness. My personal experience interacting with a decision-maker included having him yell at me, swear at me, and laugh while I was attempting to clear up a bill that was sent to us for a service we did not ask for and they were not approved to perform on the property we manage. There are better companies to work with, so if you're shopping around,...
