Beyond disappointed. I would give zero stars if I could. I was so extremely excited to have this new location in Fitchburg as I love Einstein Bros Bagels. I attempted this morning and was asked to wait at the drive through, although there were no other cars in line and the lot did not have many cars in it. It was not an issue to me as it is a new location with new customers, new employees, and was worth the wait. So I thought.
We ordered and sat at the window, and watched as three employees stood there and one was on her phone. Another lady then brought us our bag and said we were good to go yet we had not gotten our drinks yet. We explained that and they stood there confused, so I said that if they worked as a team and were not on their cells phones that everyone would be aware of what was going on and they would not have customers waiting.
I then was told “I was working with other customers”... which wouldn’t have been an issue if she had not slammed the drive through widow proceeding that. I then asked to speak with a manager come to find out the woman who slammed the window door was the manager.
If you’re working with other customers you should not be on your cell phone, and if you’re on your cell phone it should not be in the view of other customers especially behind the counter. This is how it goes at every coffee/food service I have been to and/or worked at.
I was told, rudely, she could contact the district manager who would be in around ten.. and that if I didn’t show up they will surely hear about me. I hope they do because I’m disgusted with the service as the way I was treated this morning.
I came in on my Sunday, for the very first time, and I will not be returning to this location. I spent $25 to watch employees stand around as I waited, and then had a MANAGER with a large attitude tell me she was “helping other customers” while being on a cell phone and the drive-window slammed while the rest of her team stood there. What a true leader.
Overall very rude, disrespectful, and disappointing visit. I will not be returning. Thankfully I will not let this affect the way I view the company as a whole and will visit other locations. However, that is not how everyone will be and in the smaller town...
Read moreI have to change my rating of this restaurant. We have ordered breakfast sandwiches from Einstein for weekend breakfasts for years. Unfortunately, this location has completely gone downhill.
We ordered through the app and arrived for in store pickup 20mins later. When my husband showed up to pick up the order it wasn't in the pickup area and they weren’t busy. All of them were just standing around.
When the order came home the sandwiches were all wrong. We ordered the new maple house sandwich and it was on the wrong bagel but also missing an egg and the bacon on the sandwich. The plain bagel they used had a large crescent shaped chunk out of the top of the bread.
We also ordered a farmhouse sandwich and it looked rough. Very little shmear on the sandwich and it looked gross. Ive ordered this sandwich dozens of times and this was not it. Once I tried to eat it anyway I discovered they used an Asiago bagel and not the hash brown bagel.
When I called the store to request a refund the female associate that picked up the phone was argumentative. Basically telling me that it was their procedure to use a plain bagel and it was a busy Saturday. Ok, well that doesn’t explain the missing items and condition of the sandwiches does it? What about the farmhouse with the Asiago bagel? Shouldn’t that have been plain? She said I should be ok with what I got and if I am not then request a refund through the app. She got heated and argumentative and I hung up on her. Why am I getting argued with when YOU didn’t give me what I paid for?!

Read moreVisited on 10/31/18 Caribou Coffee is my coffee chain of choice, so when I saw that one was going to be opened mere blocks from my office, I had high hopes. Unfortunately, this location leaves a lot to be desired. They are consistently understaffed, which makes it impossible to stop for a quick coffee and sandwich on your way to work. In my most recent visit, there were only 3 people working. It took 35 minutes from the time my order was finally placed till receiving my drink. I also had a free drink worth of points, but after 10 minutes of trying to give me the discount, but not understanding the point of sale system, I gave up on that. No one seemed to have a sense of urgency. The guy working drive through was on his phone. This isn't the first time I have received this low level of service, but it will be the last. On my way out one of the employees yelled at me "If you know anyone, we're hiring!" I don't know if someone didn't show up for work, or if this lack of staffing was a purposeful way to help the budget, but something should be done by corporate the get this place back on track before their whole client base experiences this same lack of service and permanently goes elsewhere. I'd rather drink gas station coffee, than have to watch this train wreck again.
