I placed a mobile order at Popeyes store number 8737 on June seventeenth at 9:03 PM. I ordered the number one classic sandwich meal, mac and cheese, and a six-piece honey BBQ wings. What I received was absolutely not honey BBQ—it tasted like an extreme hot sauce, possibly ghost pepper. It was so intense that after one bite, my face went numb and my tongue started tingling. I couldn’t even finish a single wing. The rest are still sitting next to me untouched.
This isn’t just about disliking spicy food. I’ve been hospitalized before from a single jalapeño pepper. My stomach completely shut down, stopped producing acid, and the food in it expanded to the point where it compressed my lungs. I was suffocating from the inside out. That’s not a tolerance issue—that’s a serious medical risk. Getting a sauce I didn’t ask for, with that level of heat, could’ve sent me straight back to the ER.
And this wasn’t a casual pickup. I’m in a CDL-regulated work truck. That means logging out of drive time, switching to personal mode, completing a full DOT pre-trip inspection, and taking a truck that’s difficult to maneuver just to get there. It’s less than a mile from my hotel, but it still takes me fifteen minutes each way because of the vehicle I’m in. I went through all that effort for a meal I couldn’t even eat.
To top it off, the condiments I selected—like ranch—weren’t even included. Not a huge issue by itself, but it adds to the frustration when everything else already went sideways.
This needs to be taken seriously. A simple sauce mix-up isn’t just an inconvenience for someone like me—it’s dangerous. Please ensure your staff is double-checking orders and sauces. That one mistake could have real medical consequences for the...
Read moreToday my order was give to the man in the drive thru behind me. Then they took it from him and bought it to my car when I refused to take it during a pandemic they got upset and said that they would make it again. I didn't feel comfortable about it so something within me told me to go inside and see whether they were going to truly remake my order. I went inside and saw that they weren't planning on remaking my order they were just sit has said it to the side and we're waiting a few minutes to bring it back to me. Once noticing that I was standing there watching them about to bring me the exact same order back they then decided to remake my order like supposed to be from the beginning and demanded the rest of staff to remake the order soon. I will not be venturing back here which I was a frequent customer due to this behavior and a lack of security during a pandemic on top of just sanitary conditions with trying to give me an order that someone else had placed their hands on not knowing where that person's hands have been or what they had touched. Very disappointed in this situation not only that I was not even offered anything for the miss the lack of time and the behavior in the mess up of my order plus no one said sorry. I would not recommend this place any longer to anyone else. Since the pandemic a lot of fast food places have been taking liberties that are unsanitary and out of order at this point I would recommend that people evaluate fast food places before taking your family...
Read moreI was debating to do this but owell, Christmas Eve I came to get food about 30 minutes before they close, I told they guy that it was ok and that I just wanted my refund when I tell yall the chicken was HORRIBLE I mean just that, I’m not problematic or anything I always come there because my kindness helps my experience every time but with a different working then This FERNANDO guy, he act so friendly but was like a snake, he knew he messed my food up and told me to come back to fix it, do y’all know all he did was take the food back, reheated up and gave it back to me, when I came back he said “owell I can’t do anything else no more food and no refund” like as a grown man why would you be rude, play with my food and money, then I asked for someone else to assist me his name was KEVIN! When I explain my problem he said “it’s nothing we can do” all I wanted was to receive the right food, for what I paid for, but thankfully a gentleman name JOSE helped me and made sure my food was done correctly. It still doesn’t make sense that I had to go through that, I’m not done with this issue calling me names thinking I didn’t understand because he said it in Spanish. Like I will never go back there again remind y’all I still never even got rude or raise my voice....
