YOUR ROOM WAS LEFT CLEANER THAN I STARTED BECAUSE I CLEANED IT. YOU ARE FULL OF LIES! Second update. Lmao, abusive behavior. Abusive behavior is apparently leaving a review you don't like. Is 2 weeks not enough time to fix 2 hours of work? Even more reason you guys should be all fired. Enjoy the inspectors. You must of missed the fact that I do reviews for a living. Why wouldn't I return to see if you were full of it on fixing. Which you were.Update before you read further. I gave this hotel a 2nd shot 2 weeks later and they now put me in the DO NOT RENT TO LIST. ALL BECAUSE I LEFT AN HONEST REVIEW!! DO NOT STAY HERE AS THEY CANNOT HANDLE CRITICISM WHAT SO EVER. ABSOLUTELY TRASH HOTEL. OF COURSE IT TAKES DAYS TO REFUND AS WELL. TRASH PLACE AND MANAGER. STAY AWAY AT ALL COSTS!! I also contacted Priceline about the matter & they will be doing an investigation as well and hopefully taking them off their service. The man in the phone said they wouldn't be the first hotel they booted for being petty..All this because you guys can't take criticism. Expensive lesson for you all that work at this Super 8. ORIGINAL POST FOLLOWS....I am staying at the Super 8 off the Beltline highway in Madison, WI for 3 nights. I am fairly thankful that I am on my last night. I know you can't be too picky with a 2.5 star hotel that is fairly cheap but I was informed that the weekend prior which was mother's day & graduation that they had raised rates by 8x & if I paid that, we would have been fighting. It was fairly cheap for me however & the gentleman at the front counter was very nice & kind but as far as service goes, he may be the best employee. I decided not to have maid service in my room for these days that I am staying just because there is no point after seeing the condition of the room & parts of hotel. It was very obvious to me that whomever is their maids should be all fired as well as whomever does their maintenance. Upon entry to my room, I immediately noticed a light bulb burned out after turning on a lamp (which I took to front desk & exchanged with the nice front desk man whom gave me a new one to put in myself), the safe had no battery, there are boogers & snot all over the walls (see pics), toilet not fully clean, finger prints on the mirror, & literally about 20 or more paper towels wedged into the hole in the door that the deadbolt is supposed to lock into to secure the room causing it to not be able to lock the door. I had to remove that myself as well. That was just the first 10 to 15 mins. Next morning I am in my room relaxing & hear the maids getting closer to my room which was fine I had door locked & do not disturb on the door. I heard them go into the room directly across from mine & looked out through the peep hole to see about 4 maids walk into this room, prop the door open, walk in, pay the bed twice, day something in Spanish & then all 4 started to laugh hard as they walked out and shut the door... WITHOUT DOING ANYTHING AT ALL!! I feel absolutely terrible for the next person that stays in that room & God knows how many times a day they do this. I wish I recorded it. As for the maintenance stuff, I just noticed blinds that were broken & hanging in 2nd floor hallway, the plumbing in my room was backwards so hot was cold & vice versa, & there was no pop up in sink as well as the worst type of p-trap installed under the sink which was one of the accordion style p-traps that are flexible with ridges which is never recommended as it just catches debris that sits which also caused a nasty smell by the sink area in room. They take the easy way on every possible approach apparently. All that said, the bed was comfortable. Me personally being someone who has run customer service style businesses would fire all maids & maintenance & start fresh as it cannot be worse than it is now. Keep your desk people because they are great! Pics below.

My fiance and I stayed at this hotel from February 24th until February 28th. The hotel was nice. It was updated and very clean. They have a large pool and a hot tub available. The pool was very warm which was nice. The hotel has a sign Posted saying they have a business center and a fitness center. The fitness center is not completed and unusable. There is no business center anywhere in the hotel, so I'm not sure why they say there is one available. There is a decent Continental breakfast with a nice variety of breakfast items to choose from. They even have an omelet maker, which I have never seen before. They also have a hot case where they have sausages, hard boiled eggs or breakfast potatoes. They also offer waffles, bagels, cold cereal, and yogurt. Our room was clean and comfortable. The lighting in the room wasn't the greatest but it was okay. The bed was comfortable and we slept well. Most of the staff were friendly and very helpful. However on February 27th one of the housekeepers knocked on our door. I told her "No thank you, we didn't need any service." She proceeded to tell me that she needed to check our room because we were smoking in our room. Neither my fiance or I had smoked in the room at all. The housekeeper came in our room, looked all over the room and said that yes we had been smoking in it. She then said we either had to pay $300 or check out that day. When we said we had already paid for that night she said she would have her manager come up to the room. After about 2 hours my fiance went to the front desk and the manager said he had no idea what we were talking about because the housekeeper didn't tell him anything. After that incident I asked for a receipt of all the times our credit card was charged. I then noticed that we were charged $147 for the night of the 27th. My fiance called the front desk and asked what the rate was for the 27th and he was told that the rate was $99 + tax. We were overcharged $50+ I would not recommend staying here if you have another option.

Update Update: top 20% huh? I know of someone that is in the top 0.10% of local reviewers globally and recommends and approves of this hotel. Great value and location is spot on. Have to mention has 24/7 fresh coffee station with caramel machiato creamer. Update: Back again at this spot and had another solid stay. I’ve stayed here multiple times over the past few weeks, and every time it’s been clean, quiet, and hassle-free. No drama, no issues — which is rare for long stays at budget hotels. I’ve read the other reviews and honestly haven’t experienced any of that. This time I brought a couple more guys with me for work, and one of the front desk girls was someone I hadn’t seen before — super nice, just didn’t know about the arrangement we made with the owner a couple weeks ago. I told her we had a rate worked out, she didn’t see anything in the system, but she called to check. Sure enough, the manager/owner stuck with the deal he made. No games, no runaround. Said it still applied to my crew, and followed through — just like he said he would. That kind of follow-through and respect is exactly why I keep coming back and recommending this place. Goes a long way when you’re on the road Hotel is actually really nice. Updated rooms, Free Breakfast, pool, laundry 24/7 coffee. There is a large parking lot in back for trucks. Hotel is pet friendly. Staff was nothing but nice and helpful. Manager/Owner Worked with me to get a fair rate for myself and my crew as we were there doing a Job there, being from out of state. after my first week here, I don’t understand some of the reviews for being loud and the staff being rude. Maybe they were Confused and talking about different location

My fiance and I stayed at this hotel from February 24th until February 28th. The hotel was nice. It was updated and very clean. They have a large pool and a hot tub available. They even have an omelet maker, which I have never seen before. They also have a hot case where they have sausages, hard boiled eggs or breakfast potatoes. They also offer waffles, bagels, cold cereal, and yogurt. Our room was clean and comfortable. The lighting in the room wasn't the greatest but it was okay. The bed was comfortable and we slept well. The super 8 by Wyndham at 1602 west beltline highway Madison Wisconsin my girlfriend Debbie Minshall and I had went there on July 15 2023 around 3 or 4 pm and mu girlfriend Debbie Minshall had a hotel room reserved for her and I through Priceline and she had the room booked about a week in advance and after my girlfriend Debbie Minshall and I walked in to the super 8 motel to get the room card keys for our hotel room the guy at the front desk refused to release the room card keys to me and my girlfriend Debbie Minshall and claimed that her and I had caused problems at the comfort in and suites at 3510 Millpond road. Apparently the manager at comfort inn and suites had fabricated a LIE saying that my girlfriend Debbie Minshall and I had caused problems and what had happened that less then a block away from the comfort inn and suites I had gotten into a single vehicle accident with my girlfriend’s car and I limped the car to the parking lot of the comfort inn and suites where my girlfriend and I was going to be checking out of the comfort inn and suites and I had from the comfort inn and suites parking lot I had called the dane county sheriff to have a law enforcement police accident report made and that was because my girlfriend Debbie Minshall would have to have a police report on file in order to make a insurance policy claim on her car. Now at the super 8 motel as when my girlfriend Debbie Minshall was walking out to my car and her and I now was using my car because her car was not drivable and my girlfriend Debbie Minshall had gotten a incoming phone call from comfort inn and suites from the comfort inn and suites manager and he told my girlfriend Debbie Minshall that her and I was welcomed to come back to the comfort inn and suites and my girlfriend Debbie Minshall said that it was obvious that comfort inn and suites had purposely talked the super 8 motel to refuse her and I and it was a scam to try to get her and I back to the comfort inn and suites and that comfort and inn suites were only looking to make more money off of my girlfriend Debbie Minshall and I. My girlfriend Debbie Minshall and I did NOT go back to comfort inn and suites and her and I went to a totally different hotel and stayed there for about a week. Now the guy at super 8 motel he REFUSED to refund the money back to my girlfriend Debbie Minshall and he told her that they are going to be keeping her money. My girlfriend Debbie Minshall she called Priceline and her bank then after one week her money was finally returned back to her card. It’s a shame that hotels are deceitful and will do anything to...

Our room was clean and comfortable. The lighting in the room wasn't the greatest but it was okay. The bed was comfortable and we slept well.

Most of the staff were friendly and very helpful. However on February 27th one of the housekeepers knocked on our door. I told her "No thank you, we didn't need any service." She proceeded to tell me that she needed to check our room because we were smoking in our room. Neither my fiance or I had smoked in the room at all. The housekeeper came in our room, looked all over the room and said that yes we had been smoking in it. She then said we either had to pay $300 or check out that day. When we said we had already paid for that night she said she would have her manager come up to the room. After about 2 hours my fiance went to the front desk and the manager said he had no idea what we were talking about because the housekeeper didn't tell him anything.

After that incident I asked for a receipt of all the times our credit card was charged. I then noticed that we were charged $147 for the night of the 27th. My fiance called the front desk and asked what the rate was for the 27th and he was told that the rate was $99 + tax. We were overcharged $50+
